New York City mayoral candidate and former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang backtracked Wednesday after he tweeted earlier in the week to support Israel as it continues to be bombarded by rockets fired by Palestinian terrorists.
As Breitbart News reported earlier this week, Yang took a traditionally pro-Israel and anti-terror view, as the aspirant mayor of a city with a large, deeply-rooted Jewish community and direct, painful experience with radical Islamic terror attacks.
“I’m standing with the people of Israel who are coming under bombardment attacks, and condemn the Hamas terrorists. The people of NYC will always stand with our brothers and sisters in Israel who face down terrorism and persevere,” he tweeted Monday.

The JINOs high five!
Shocking!
YangBang would actually be too open-minded for NYC. He’ll go down in flames.
<< But “progressive” Democrats attacked Yang, calling him. “white supremacist” >>
Snigger.
Surprise surprise
You’re running for mayor of a major American city that is disintegrating before everyone’s eyes. Why would you speak one syllable in public about affairs in a different country on the other side of the planet?
This reminds me of living in Santa Cruz in the mid 1980s after I got out of the Marines. The city council couldn’t deal with parking for downtown businesses or hordes of bums camping on downtown streets and crapping in the alleys. They could debate and issue pointless resolutions about foreign policy in Nicaragua or against allowing US Navy vessels in Monterey Bay. They didn’t have to be good at anything more than stroking the community’s leftist self-perception as the balding hippie preserve for Planet Earth.
Andrew Yang here makes himself sound like an ideologically captivated poseur with no substance to offer. And wasn’t he bragging about moving to Georgia several months ago to vote for tipping their Senate runoff election? A carpetbagger. I had a certain amount of grudging respect for this guy during the 2020 election primary season. I think plenty of people did. He’s looking unimpressive this year.
Liberal NY jews will still vote for him
For one thing, because your city has consulates, and pro-Palestinian thugs are mixing it up and rioting outside the Israeli offices, because your city has a large Jewish population that is already frequently under attack by thugs who now have a new excuse, etc. if you’re running for mayor of NYC you do have an obligation to say something about it because it does affect your city.
Too bad the guy chickened out.
the next thing you know, yang will support the police {before the mob 'forces' him to "walk it back"}.
What a trans, he doesn't know where he stands on anything.
XX or XY or X-LBGQT-RSVP-LSMFT-GR8-Y?
Not sure Yang matters much.
