The Pentagon has updated the Joint Memorandum of Understanding that says the other participants – US, UK, Italy, Netherlands, Australia, Denmark, Canada and Norway – will remain in the programme.
Speaking to Turkey's Anadolu Agency on Wednesday, a US defense official said that according to the statement sent to Ankara, the Joint Memorandum of Understanding opened to participant countries' signature in 2006 and signed by Turkey on January 26, 2007, has been cancelled and Turkey was not included in the new agreement.
The official did not share the channels used to notify Turkey.
Turkey had joined the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Programme (JSF) in 2007.
Other participants of the programme were US, UK, Italy, Netherlands, Australia, Denmark, Canada, and Norway.

What’s going on they are actually doing something I agree with.
Good
Yeah Turkey! Norway will be flying it.....but not you!
Norway!
They’ll be dropping Ludefisk bombs and you’ll be sitting there wondering why you can’t be with all the cool kids.
Well, here’s a clue!
Stop acting like clicks.
That’s right.....clicks.
It looks like dicks but it won’t get me in trouble for being a potty mouth.
clicks
Correct decision, much belated.
They should never have been admitted as they have nothing to offer and present significant risk.
A new F-35A is cheaper than a new F-15.
>>A new F-35A is cheaper than a new F-15.<<
You get what you pay for.
This might mean that the government of Turkey is good.
Not like the fast-track communism U.S. government that is EVIL. So that means Turkey might be anti-New World Order, anti stomping on the people’s rights, and/or etc. (Turkey might be) good things that the U.S. government is not.
Well, the new F-15 is an upgraded F-15E which itself was a heavier, more expensive version of the original F-15 design optimized as a medium bomber.
Turks are lucky..stick with F-16.
Good. The present government and (Islamic) policies are hostile to America and American interests and our allies.
Erdogan wants the Caliphate back and he has millions of foot soldiers in Europe ready to fight for him when the time comes.
And then when that goes sour, he'll finally get the civil war that he has had coming to him for a loooong time...and neither NATO nor Pootin will lift a finger until Atatürk II takes one last private plane flight straight into the Bosporus...
This and Armenian Genocide recognition. Not a great day for Turkey.
Eff Turkey!
Yeah, I’m fine with all this.
Genocide recognition is water off a duck’s back
Presidential pretention that does nothing
Joe Biden is right but even a broken clock is right twice a day.
