Toilet paper; now chicken wings?
The owners of Nuby’s Steakhouse in Pocahontas, Illinois, and E. L. Flanagan’s in Highland, Illinois, said they haven’t been able to serve chicken wings like usual in their restaurants. The owners said they’ve been dealing with a chicken wing shortage from their suppliers.
Owner Connie Richardson said in her 30 years of business she’s never seen this.
“We had started stocking up about a month ago a little here and there and we’ll just deal with it – if we run out of boneless, we have the option to do bone-in,” she said.

“We’ve just been telling people that if they call, they will be rationed and well ask that they switch over to boneless for tonight,” Richardson said.
Stee Heimsath, the owner of E. L. Flanagan’s, said they canceled their weekly chicken wing deal which is usually held on Wednesday’s.
“It’s a predicament, we had to cancel our wing Wednesday promotion because we weren’t certain we would have the wings,” Heimsath said. “Some of the vendors are rationing who they’ll give wings too.”

I make a variety of my own sauces and I DO NOT toss the wings in sauce. I put the sauce in squirt bottles and you can put on as much or as little as you want of each.

My wife and I don’t really do the restaurant thing any more. As long as I see people in masks, that is all I see. And it’s very depressing. I don’t see any masks in my home, so it’s a much more enjoyable eating experience.

I only wear mine in places where it’s likely to piss off the snowflakes. It’s black with white lettering that reads “This mask is as useless as Joe Biden”! Get lots of dirty looks but also lots of high-fives! And by the way, you may have heard about the study released by scientists at Stanford U.? Their paper announced (1) that masks are absolutely USELESS to control the spread of the China virus, and (2) they pose a health risk to users because they can trigger or exacerbate a number respiratory illnesses.

Chicken producers are doing everything they can to overcome the devastating impact of Mother Nature when she inflicted the once in a lifetime winter storm on Texas and nearby states – major chicken producing regions. It will take time and effort to eventually replace the impacted hatchery supply flocks in that region

All chickens aren’t the same. Some are bred as fryers and others for roasting. Roasters have smaller legs and wings and more breast meat.

I not a big wing fan. I like white meat best. I make a Buffalo Chicken salad. I got the idea from Friendly's, who used to have it on their menu. The Friendly's here closed, so I decided to make it for myself. I buy a bag of iceberg lettuce that has carrots and red cabbage in it, add celery, and use Litehouse Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing. I buy KFC crispy tenders, slice them up into bite-size pieces, dredge them in Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce, and throw them on top. Then I finish it with colored taco strips. Yum, yum!!
