MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Former Vice President Walter Mondale, a liberal icon who lost the most lopsided presidential election after bluntly telling voters to expect a tax increase if he won, has died. He was 93. Mondale’s family says he died Monday in Minneapolis.

May he rest in peace.
“...who lost the most lopsided presidential election after bluntly telling voters to expect a tax increase if he won...”
Hell, he’d win in a landslide with today’s fools.
Mondale? Hmm, spinach or broccoli? "Oliver!" is on TCM, tonight...
RIP
I don’t think that Mondale was as bad as Biden. Then again, that’s a very low bar that you could step over.
Another miserable tax and spend sack of crap bites the dust. Adios, Wally.
Mondale changed my life.
I never even considered a Rat for anything after seeing his ‘84’ campaign for President.
Good riddance.
And that was only because Reagan chose not to fight Minnesota, although it was close enough to.
Yeah … a generational thing, his daughter was screwing Bill Clinton. Bill didn’t miss out … he tried to screw them all.. she was low fruit.
Nothing to say but RIP
Oh goodie, now we can all look forward to another Welstonesque funeral ordeal BARF!!!
Keith Richards is a zombie!😨
I was never a fan of Mondale when he was Carter’s VP, but giving credit where credit is due, he did an excellent job as US Ambassador to Japan — at least according to American businessmen I know who operate here in Tokyo.
RIP Mr. Mondale.
I expected for Bob Dole to leave the ‘waiting room’ first.
Ya never know.
A Jimmy Carter “Rick Roll”.
A one legged Nun walking a goat and I win.
Decent man. This was back when you could hate a man’s politics, but at least he was not a raging lunatic.
There’s not one single insane Democrat demand today that Mondale wouldn’t get behind. He is a loyal adherent to Satan.
Good riddance.
Hey. If it had not been for Mondale we might never had gotten Reagan. Despite his politics he seemed like a descent man. R.I.P. Walter.
I remember Mondale’s reaction, when Reagan remarked in the debate, “I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent’s youth and inexperience.” Mondale knew at that moment, it was all over.
