Supreme Court tosses out another Republican 2020 election challenge
CNN ^ | 04/19/2021 | Ariane de Vogue and Rachel Janfaza

Five months after the presidential election, the Supreme Court said on Monday that it won't take up a case from several Republicans challenging changes to election rules in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

The unsigned ruling sends yet another message that the court's majority has no interest in relitigating the last election. Before Monday, the justices had already declined several requests to dive into one of the most litigious elections in history, denying petitions from then-President Donald Trump and other Republicans seeking to overturn election result in multiple states President Joe Biden won.

I really don’t see why Biden is in a rush to pack the Supreme Court. It always rules against us, time after time.

Justice delayed = justice denied. That’s out of the playbook. Why would anyone think otherwise? “calm down, we’ll deal with this later” means “Shut up, dummie, as soon as we get this off the news cycle we’ll get around to something else that bears no relationship to reality”.
In other words, if you let the people who obviously benefit from the crime set the schedule, just bend over and get it over with. This is your fault.

Why are we paying for courts, judges and lawyers?

Let’s just ask the Democrat Party to rule on everything.

Roberts was overheard stating he fears riots if the SCOTUS issues a ruling that doesn’t meet the approval of BLM and ANTIFA. Forevermore, they’re tainted.

To clarify, in an earlier decision, not this one.

But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism

FU John Roberts. You would have made an excellent magistrate for George III.

>>More broadly, however, the case concerned whether state lawmakers or state courts get the last word about the manner in which federal elections are carried out.”

This is already settled law and it is the state legislature.

The hallmark of the Roberts era in the Supreme Court - run away, run away.

Don’t blame SCOTUS.

****************

You are 100% correct. The bottom line is that it comes to
the individuals that elect the people who appoint/process
rulers in our court systems from the lowest to the highest.

State legislatures are the only entities in states that can
change that state’s election laws. This according to the
Constitution of the United States.

None the less other entities did it in a number of states.

This is a Constitutional matter, and the SCOTUS just refused
to even revue, let alone uphold the law.

This then is by definition a rogue court.

First the Court said the challengers were too early.

Then it said they were too late.

No you both are wrong.

Yes, I would agree that this matter should have been taken
care of at the state level, but this is exactly what the
SCOTUS is for.

It is there to review if something is in compliance with
the Constitution of the United States. If a petitioner
brings something before them, and it does represent non-
compliance with the Constitution, the SCOTUS must review
and provide a ruling.

These matters weren’t in compliance.

The SCOTUS has been using the ‘no standing’ response and
has now moved on to ‘simply refusing to even review’ very
important issues brought before it.

The SCOTUS has turned into a Rogue Court.

Damn the Constitution, full speed ahead!

Soooo, how are all those awesome “originalist” Trump appointed judges working out? They must be voting against Roberts on this, right?

Two. And ironically, Barrett is still probably the “most conservative” of Trump’s three crappy picks.

Slow Joe didn’t win anything! He is destroying the country and the SCOTUS is a partner in this great crime.

Well such is life. But if the elected officials didn’t
appoint/approve of the court appointees then they
wouldn’t be there, would they?

Cake and eat it to ruling. Follows Robert’s pretzel logic on Obama care. In essence we don’t legislate

___________________________________________________

But the SCOTUS did create “Gay Marriage” by judicial fiat. And this depsite every state legislature and referendum voting against it. Our SCOTUS legislates just fine. The hypocrisy is so bad that it’s no wonder people are just losing faith in the country.

I’m not sure I understand you, in that it shouldn’t matter
how they got there. What matters is that they comply with
the U. S. Constitution, and cause other entities to do the
same.

If I’ve missed your point due be being obtuse, please let
me know the point you were trying to get across that I
missed.
