Trump loyalists start ‘America First Caucus’ to promote U.S. as ‘uniquely Anglo-Saxon’

Far-right Republicans in Congress are forming an “America First Caucus” that would promote nativist policies, according to materials outlining the group’s goals first obtained by Punchbowl News.

Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Paul A. Gosar (R-Ariz.) are reportedly behind it, with Reps. Barry Moore (R-Ala.) and Louie Gohmert (R-Tex.) signed on as early members. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), who faces federal and House Ethics Committee investigations over allegations of sexual misconduct and illicit drug use, tweeted that he was joining Greene in the caucus.

“We will end wars, stop illegal immigration & promote trade that is fair to American workers,” said Gaetz, who has denied all allegations against him.

A seven-page document that lays out policy positions for the caucus includes nativist language and perpetuates the falsehood that there was widespread fraud and corruption in the 2020 election. According to the document, the group says it seeks to advance former president Donald Trump’s legacy, which means stepping “on some toes” and sacrificing “sacred cows for the good of the American nation.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Friday seemed to oppose the formation of the caucus, though he did not call it or its members out by name.

“America is built on the idea that we are all created equal and success is earned through honest, hard work. It isn’t built on identity, race, or religion,” McCarthy tweeted. “The Republican Party is the party of Lincoln & the party of more opportunity for all Americans — not nativist dog whistles.”

FU McCarthy. When you go after the Black & Hispanic Caucuses or go after the blatant and constant attacks of whites, 'white priviledge' and the West come back to me.

The headline is a lie. The real quote, down in the piece, is “uniquely Anglo-Saxon political traditions.” Big difference.

Does the left really want to gin up a race war? I thought only neo-Nazis wanted to start a race war.

If that’s true then we need to start promoting those traditions. Again, the progressives are far ahead of us it seems in this optics war.

And no, I do not see a difference between the headline or the real quote.

Don’t misinterpret what I am saying, but personally I love many of my Anglo-Saxon traditions, period. All the woke-ism is an effort to destroy anything the white race has done. We have a right to our traditions, teachings, and contributions. It is not just political viewpoints under attack, it is our way of life.

I want to help the Left lose their minds so I’m planning a “Trump for President 2028” national organization.

The sound you will hear will be the exploding heads of the Dems who will actually believe that this is real, and a Putin Plot to boot. Explosion: “Oops there goes another rubber tree” (aka a Dem’s head).

No one understands what the reference to Anglo Saxon traditions and values means. However, anyone who has read the excellent book, The 5000 Year Leap, will instantly realize what they mean by this. Our nation WAS founded on concepts that were borrowed from the Anglo Saxons, as well as from the Greeks (Cicero), and others. The Anglo Saxon reference is mostly related to their development of decentralized government, with the greatest governmental authority residing as close to the local (and even neighborhood) level as possible.

The members of this new group should explain this, and then ask the rabid media which of these principles they or any other Americans disagree with. It’s all common sense, but of course the leftists are blinded to reason by their seething race hate. All that matters to them is “Whitey bad.”

Nativism is back!
“WASP”, I’m not so sure, ‘white anglo saxon ...protestant maybe’, considering its 2021, not 1956 anti-stalinism.
However, America and American citizens, first, definitely!

I saw that... i truly cannot support it. They are doing their own gaslighting.
Not newsworthy, i know, but i have more in common with God fearing black Christians than anglo saxon eugenecists.

What do you call a person who is working for the enemy, who goes into a group with the express purpose of perverting their views to make them look bad in public? Sort of like lefty protestors who show up at Trump rallies with misspelled signs and swastickas? Someone who tries to severely limit their appeal to try to keep them from gaining public support?

Agreed on the importance of culture, but that is a little more specific than generally Anglo-Saxon. Anglo-Saxon in general includes race. “Anglo-Saxon political traditions” are derived from cultural social customs and must include those customs.

Have a look at this, but notice that it is written in European terms. “Liberal” has more to do with more individual freedoms in that sense—not American leftism.

The vast majority of blacks, who are also mostly Christians, vote for Democrats. It is a scam to say they are on our side. They are not.

"And no, I do not see a difference between the headline or the real quote."

If so, you need better glasses. THE relevant "uniquely Anglo-Saxon tradition" being referenced is REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT. IIRC, the first true parliament was established in Iceland in 930AD.
