House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Friday seemed to oppose the formation of the caucus, though he did not call it or its members out by name.

“America is built on the idea that we are all created equal and success is earned through honest, hard work. It isn’t built on identity, race, or religion,” McCarthy tweeted. “The Republican Party is the party of Lincoln & the party of more opportunity for all Americans — not nativist dog whistles.”

FU McCarthy. When you go after the Black & Hispanic Caucuses or go after the blatant and constant attacks of whites, 'white priviledge' and the West come back to me.

The headline is a lie. The real quote, down in the piece, is “uniquely Anglo-Saxon political traditions.” Big difference.

Does the left really want to gin up a race war? I thought only neo-Nazis wanted to start a race war.

I want to help the Left lose their minds so I’m planning a “Trump for President 2028” national organization.

The sound you will hear will be the exploding heads of the Dems who will actually believe that this is real, and a Putin Plot to boot. Explosion: “Oops there goes another rubber tree” (aka a Dem’s head).

Nativism is back!
“WASP”, I’m not so sure, ‘white anglo saxon ...protestant maybe’, considering its 2021, not 1956 anti-stalinism.
However, America and American citizens, first, definitely!

What do you call a person who is working for the enemy, who goes into a group with the express purpose of perverting their views to make them look bad in public? Sort of like lefty protestors who show up at Trump rallies with misspelled signs and swastickas? Someone who tries to severely limit their appeal to try to keep them from gaining public support?

I didn’t see anything about this being an “Anglo Saxon” caucus, but rather an non-racialist group intended to focus on supporting the foundational ideas of the United States.

They do state that these are Anglos Saxon, although that’s not quite true. I assume they’re referring to the Magna Carta. However, Jefferson and the other foundering fathers were greatly influenced by Classical (Greek and Roman) thought on rights and liberties, and Jefferson is known to have been influenced by the thought of the Spanish Jesuit Suarez (who defended the right of a people to overthrow and even kill a tyrant). So I’d call the ideas European rather than solely Anglo Saxon.

Essentially, this caucus is to support the concepts expressed in English by the Founding Fathers and to defend the fact that these ideas are the true basis of American society and political practice. Race has nothing to do with it, but of course, the Washington Post (where the article appears) and the various hysterical race-baiting critics know that perfectly well.

Okay, spot the lies in the story. Also, spot the spin.

They bring up the baseless allegations against Gaetz. They imply it’s a racist caucus. And what’s up with “Anglo-saxon” in quotes?

Since the U.K is still around then how can we be ‘uniquely Anglo-Saxon’?

The United States was founded based on an amalgamation of philosophies that can be traced back to the Greeks, Romans, and Hebrews.

It’s primarily Mediterranean mixed with a little Anglo-Saxon.

As a White Hispanic, I will absolutely concur that Christian Anglo-Saxon culture has been the pinnacle of civilization since man was created.

Call me a ‘racist’ for seeing reality for what it is.

We are a uniquely Anglo-Saxon culture, one of the few places on Earth governed by English Common Law. It is very interesting that the darker nations seek out these places to which to migrate—the Commonwealth Nations and the United States. Nobody wishes to migrate to the darker nations.

The culture of the whole Western World has been the beneficiary of Anglo-Saxon culture. We accept people of every race and nationality, and welcome them to participate in our culture, not to set up rival non-Western dueling cultures on our territory. Such actions must be considered an invasion.

well, we do need some WASPs on the supreme court.
Did they finally figure out that Freedom Caucus committed suicide when they let Paul Ryan become speaker?
