... tune out time stamps (TOTS) for the second episode. He provided an explanation on his YouTube channel:
“The TOTS is logged on Disney Plus whenever a viewer stops watching a particular movie or television episode. It’s useful to the bean counters at Disney Plus to note when they lose a particular viewer because this can give them valuable data about how the show is doing and what that viewer thinks about it. This source claims that around 5 p.m. on Saturday across the board, the TOTS for the second episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier went crazy with people turning the show off in droves all at around the same part of the show within seconds of each other.
My jaw hit the floor. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. All the turnout was at the cop scene where it clearly shows they were ready to pull their guns on a black guy who was arguing with a white guy. It’s clear that this was the message. So, in other words, Disney felt like sticking a Black Lives Matter message smack dab in the middle of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 2, and what do you know, apparently fans who are sick to death of bad news and tragic headlines decided they had had enough and turned off the episode.
Over the course of Friday and Saturday, a full 79.9% of people that were tuning in, stopped watching at that point in the story. According to this source, over the next few days the TOTS average went up to 83.49% overall. That means 83.49% of viewers turned off the episode at almost exactly the same woke point. This source claims there were also a lot of subsequent cancellations happening in real time.”

No idea whether or not this is true. But if it is, there should be a dramatic drop in viewership for the third episode. Don’t watch the show,so I don’t know it is showing.
I hope Disney crumbles into dust and the parks become havens for alligators....................

Etc.
The Falcon and the Snowman was much better. Based on a true story. Sean Penn and Timothy Hutton. David Bowie singing the theme song “This is not America”.

One of my guilty pleasures is watching youtube videos going in excruciating detail about what, specifically, scene by scene, was so bad about each of the last three Star Wars movies. :)
I say that as a guy that saw the first one in the theater 27 times.
These producers are idiots. Most people even those that support such movements don’t care about this stuff crammed down their throats everytime. It’s over kill
I’m sure they are tracking this kind of thing. Marketing types never throw away data, never skip an opportunity to collect data. A friend verified to me that YouTube tracks not only if you like/dislike a video, but how long into it you click the up/down button. Early “votes” don’t weigh as much in their algorithms - I guess assumed to be automatic, people liking it based on the channel or the premise not really the content. Votes near the end count for more, assumed to be based on what you saw.
“apparently fans who are sick to death of bad news and tragic headlines”
Um, sure. That’s the reason. Couldn’t be people are sick of being preached to about BLM junk by a bunch of Hollywood leftscum.
Which YouTube are you referring to? I’m a fan of the Critical Drinker
I think they know what’s going on.
But to the Left, what grownups do really doesn’t matter all that much, they know they are a lost cause. This is about indoctrinating children.
Hope that TV stations and cable channels do the same TOTS statistics. I usually turn off commercials filled with black actors or mixed race couples. I also turn off news shows when they start to promote the liberal agenda.
The Leftists know that folks over 40 aren’t woke. But they will make enough content that these people like to subsidize the rest of the crap.
Roger that. No “streaming” but pretty sure my fire stick lets someone know when we move on. They may not know why we did but can probably speculate and check the anti-gay/anti blm/anti democommie(whatever applies) box. We just don’t want to see it. Just like no one wants to see me and................ Never mind. :-)
I don’t think these propagandists realize how streaming (a la carte programming) is going to negate their messages.
Heh. He’s my personal favorite. There are a couple of guys (who’s names escape me) that have MULI-HOUR-LONG videos absolutely skewering those movies. You can usually find them in the feed when watching one of his videos on the movies.
?
I never vote for or against videos. It’s never been a “thing” for me. And being in IT and spending a few of those years working with Law Enforcement Relations regarding data, I learned just how easy it is to grab all sorts of data.
Heck, I have on Beta tape a PBS show from around 1980 called “the public eye” that showed how they were able to focus on particular words used by Reagan during a speech to determine what people liked and didn’t like. I remember watching that and thinking, “Where will that lead us in ten or twenty years?” Well, it’s been 40 years. I’m sure it’s improved. ;)
