Cumulus Media and Westwood One have agreed to terms with conservative commentator Dan Bongino to host a daily three-hour show from 12-3pm eastern.
Bongino currently hosts a daily podcast for Westwood One that since March 2020 has been repurposed into a one-hour syndicated show on over 100 stations including 790 KABC Los Angeles and 560 KSFO San Francisco.
The new show would air live in the timeslot currently held by Limbaugh on many if not all Cumulus owned Conservative Talk and News Talk stations.
Bongino is a former NYPD officer and Secret Service agent turned conservative pundit and investor in digital properties including Parler and Rumble. He has previously served as a fill-in host at WMAL Washington and WBAL Baltimore and multiple syndicated talkers including Sean Hannity.
An official announcement should be forthcoming by early next week.
Seems the station owners are going there separate ways.
This could be a good thing as if you don’t like Bongino, go to a different set of stations who have a different 12-3 host and stream from there.
He just announced a few days or so ago he’s cancer free.
In my broadcast area, I prefer Buck Sexton to Bongino
which are on at the same time

Atlanta WSB radio 95.5 is going to stick us with Erick Erickson. Of course, I will not listen. I’ll turn to 97.1 and listen to old rock music instead. Or I can put the Bongino podcast on my phone and listen to that.
I love Dan and don’t get the negative responses to this great news.

Though missing RUSH forever, I definitely do like Dan and plan to listen as often as possible, also hoping he keeps RushLimbaugh.com going.
Sorry, but I cannot stand Mark, I do not get his stupid humor. He’s okay once in a while but I can’t listen to him for 3 hours.

I like Dan but not good choice. No one can follow Rush but I believe there were better choices.
Dan’s a good man and he’s got good connections.

One important feature most lack is a sense of humor. Nobody did it like Rush. Almost like SNL for conservatives .
Hopefully not true. You can’t go from a guy who was virtually 100% correct, 100% truth, 100% reliable, to Bongino. He lacks Rush’s political and cultural insight and humor, and is irritating to listen to. He’s lucky if he’s right 50% of the time, constantly spouts rumors and repeats stories that are proven false. He’ll be the talk radio version of click bait.
