I don’t if this is true or not but so what if some people are ‘anti-semitic’? Are we not big boys and girls? Does free speech matter? There is a plethora of anti-white rhetoric all over the internet & elsewhere.

They aren’t simple bigots, they are disrupters.
If you leave, they have beaten you.
If you scroll by, YOU have beaten them.
They may be disrupters, in which case Gab should make an effort to get rid of them, because they’re clearly succeeding in disrupting.
They post really ugly “Elders of Zion” type of stuff and also even attack Trump for having Jewish family members. There are a couple of people who do this regularly, and while I just avoid them and don’t read their posts, they are definitely the sort of thing that gives Gab a bad name and probably discourages some more high-profile people from getting on Gab.
I know that for a while, Gab was being spammed with everything from weird, fraudulent commercial offers to porn posts in an attempt to bring it down, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the anti-Semitic posters were the same. But the people at Gab managed to stop most of the spam, and they should work on this issue too.
It’s a nice site and in addition to politics has interest groups that you can join - such as gardening or Christianity - so it’s fun. It would be a shame to let a few hate filled people ruin it.
While I disagree with his actions, the allegations are not baseless. There’s a bunch of anti-semitism on Gab. Just as there is on a lot of social media.

Not so sure. Sometimes, bad ideas win in the marketplace of ideas, then go on to destroy the market.
Don't get me wrong, I prefer the marketplace of ideas.
But evil humans sure know how to use that to their advantage. Some have the skill to talk free people right out of their birthright.
I look at Gab every day. I’m Jewish, my father’s family escaped from Berlin. I’m pretty sensitive to this stuff.
I don’t see it at all on Gab.
But I do see it regularly in the hearts and minds of prominent Democrats.

Pure nonsense. Really disappointed he would say something like this. Gab itself is supposedly a neutral platform, a conduit through which people can express their thoughts and opinions. You can’t blame Gab itself for what the people who use it say.
Yes, quite a few of those people are anti-semitic, there are plenty white supremacists too, boatloads of bigots, neo nazis and even a number who truly believe the earth is flat. And claim they can prove it. And the anti-semitic crowd seems to be very vocal. Much of it really ugly too. I’ve seen quite a few extremely racist people there as well. You have to have a thick skin to stay on the free speech channel long.
But Gab itself is just the software that allows them to say it. Nobody forces you to read their comments, it’s quite easy to block the twits or try to blow their arguments out of the water. Most of them are a waste of time, they refuse to even look at anything that does not support their views. Exactly the same as liberals. I’ve tried. Easier to just block them and move on. I’m not going to change their minds, and I’m not about to read through their hate filled diatribes or stupid memes forever either.
If he thinks Gab is bad, I wonder if he ever tried to read through about 2 hours of Trump’s twitter feed. And if he did, why wasn’t he railing about twitter long ago? Why is he still using it? 10 or 15 minutes reading through Trump’s twitter feed and you could see every brand of hatred you can think of.
Hmmmmm just why IS he still using twitter, when he has to know they have been censoring conservatives and many have simply left?
So far, I’ve been just watching and haven’t come to a definite opinion on Abbott. He kept some promises. We do have open carry now, and soon as biden started pushing gun control, he got busy and established Texas as 2nd amendment sanctuary state. Looks like he might be trying to finish the wall Trump started too.
On the negative side, he bought into the lockdown insanity and allowed the Texas economy to take a huge hit. Now this.
I’m still not sure what to think, but he’s probably been there long enough, time to put him out to pasture and take a chance on someone else. That’s where it gets iffy, very few out there with backbone enough to stand up to the political elite in Swamp Central...
To think I used to consider Abbott potential POTUS material at one time. Now I wouldn’t even vote for him for dog catcher.
I tend to agree. After 2 terms it’s time for him to go, but I thought he might have further potential too for a while. But a couple of recent incidents and I’m really rethinking all that. I probably wouldn’t vote for him again either. Not entirely positive yet, but leaning hard against it.
First he caved and did tbe 2nd lockdown/mask insanity, now this...not good. Seems like something else not too long ago but I don’t remember what.
I suspect that most of the “Elders of Zion” stuff on Gab is from Leftist trolls.

Yes, I know, and I do block them... but the point is that this stuff is sitting there in plain view for every passing visitor to Gab, and it seems to be accepted by the site and thus becomes a very easy stick to use to beat us with.
I think it’s one of the reasons Trump has not gotten on Gab.
It’s not an anti-Semitic site by any means, but they should do some moderation on some of these posts (although possibly they don’t have the staff). The mods here do a good job of letting the opinions flow freely without letting cranks and kooks use it as a platform.
The problem is Twitter should have no competition. /s?
