Howdy, beachie.
Did I manage to slip in before you head off to Dreamland? :-)
Hope all’s well up your way and that you’re having some decent weather. Been a bit rough lately, hasn’t it?

We are indebted to you for your sacrifices for our Freedom.
It’s pretty cold and windy here, but at least it’s not snowing!
Just came in from rehearsal. Next Sunday is the 50th Anniversary of the founding of my little church, so we are doing some special music.
I’ll be playing piano and bass (not at the same time, of course!)
Hi Kathy!
(((HUGS)))
Good evening Ma ((HUGS))
No worries.
It sure sounds like work is a zoo.
And seriously, aren’t these people adults?
Wonder if those who forgot that they moved are the same that votes in two places?
:)
Still here but fading fast.
we’ve had some spring-like temps but tonight is windy and colder.
But next week...teaser weather...60s.
I knew you were talented but, not THAT talented. LOL
WOOHOO! You’re still here. *HUGZ*
Things are pretty good here. DRY! Not too chilly during the day but nights are still cold. Daffodils are starting to bloom so spring is almost here.
I could do it if I had four arms like Shiva.
But I don’t.
I can sing, dance around, and play bass at the same time, and often do. I have to be careful that I don’t smack the other vocalist upside the head with the bass, but we’re about 4-6 ft apart up on the stage.
The drummer is right next to me, but is surrounded by a plexiglass shield.
But that’s about the limit of my multi-tasking.
I think it was close to 85 here today, but will be in the 60s for the next few days. The 80s are waaaay too warm for this early in the season, at least for me. [and spel]
Bummer about the wind. That makes it even colder. It’s going to cool off here, too, for a couple of days but we don’t have wind with it.
Then 60s next week, like y’all. We’ll happily take it!
Yes! Dry here too. Our ground is no longer like a sponge.
And it looks like another week of dry weather ahead.
However, with all the sun, we may have to mow the lawn sooner than planned.
LOL.
I bet it’s a sight.
I agree. don’t want too warm, too fast.
Have fun Hangin' at the FReeper Cafe.
Be safe out there.
To our military and allies: thank you for all you do.
Good night.
It’s coming together!
We’ve only been playing together for a couple of weeks, so we have a bit to go.
I really enjoy it though.
Bible in a Year:
When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other.
According to Chinese legend, when Sai Weng lost one of his prized horses, his neighbor expressed sorrow for his loss. But Sai Weng was unconcerned. He said, “Who knows if it may be a good thing for me?” Surprisingly, the lost horse returned home with another horse. As the neighbor congratulated him, Sai Weng said, “Who knows if it may be a bad thing for me?” As it turned out, his son broke his leg when he rode on the new horse. This seemed like a misfortune, until the army arrived at the village to recruit all able-bodied men to fight in the war. Because of the son’s injury, he wasn’t recruited, which ultimately could have spared him from death.
This is the story behind the Chinese proverb which teaches that a difficulty can be a blessing in disguise and vice versa. This ancient wisdom has a close parallel in Ecclesiastes 6:12, where the author observes: “Who knows what is good for a person in life?” Indeed, none of us know what the future holds. An adversity might have positive benefits, and prosperity might have ill effects.
Each day offers new opportunities, joys, struggles, and suffering. As God’s beloved children, we can rest in His sovereignty and trust Him through the good and bad times alike. God has “made the one as well as the other” (7:14). He’s with us in all the events in our lives and promises His loving care.
Reflect & Pray
Can you think of an example where a misfortune turned out to be a blessing? How can you keep your focus on God in good times as well as in bad times?
Sovereign God, thank You for ordering my life. Help me to praise You in both good and bad times, believing that You work all things for the ultimate good of those who love You.
Wouldn’t surprise me in the least. “They”, the greenies and the progs from California, are trying to push us to all mail in. We have Dominion machines as well, and there was cheating in the last election. LOTS of money from outside.
How are things?
“As well as can be expected for the shape we’re all in!”
Actually pretty good. Snow pretty much gone. Probably had the final firing of the wood stove until late November.
Crocus and daffodil tips are starting to stretch their way out of the earthen blankets as spring awakens.
