On Monday, the Supreme Court ordered former President Donald Trump’s accountants to releases financial and tax records to prosecutors in New York.
The former president responded in a lengthy statement, calling the ruling “a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country.”

This investigation is a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country, whether it was the never ending $32 million Mueller hoax, which already investigated everything that could possibly be investigated, “Russia Russia Russia,” where there was a finding of “No Collusion,” or two ridiculous “Crazy Nancy” inspired impeachment attempts where I was found NOT GUILTY. It just never ends!
So now, for more than two years, New York City has been looking at almost every transaction I’ve ever done, including seeking tax returns which were done by among the biggest and most prestigious law and accounting firms in the U.S. The Tea Party was treated far better by the IRS than Donald Trump. The Supreme Court never should have let this “fishing expedition” happen, but they did. This is something which has never happened to a President before, it is all Democrat-inspired in a totally Democrat location, New York City and State, completely controlled and dominated by a heavily reported enemy of mine, Governor Andrew Cuomo. These are attacks by Democrats willing to do anything to stop the almost 75 million people (the most votes, by far, ever gotten by a sitting president) who voted for me in the election—an election which many people, and experts, feel that I won. I agree!
The new phenomenon of “headhunting” prosecutors and AGs—who try to take down their political opponents using the law as a weapon—is a threat to the very foundation of our liberty. That’s what is done in third world countries. Even worse are those who run for prosecutorial or attorney general offices in far-left states and jurisdictions pledging to take out a political opponent. That’s fascism, not justice—and that is exactly what they are trying to do with respect to me, except that the people of our Country won’t stand for it.
In the meantime, murders and violent crime are up in New York City by record numbers, and nothing is done about it. Our elected officials don’t care. All they focus on is the persecution of President Donald J. Trump.
I will fight on, just as I have, for the last five years (even before I was successfully elected), despite all of the election crimes that were committed against me. We will win!
I know it won’t happen but I would like him to somehow apologize or take responsibility for the fact that virtually every one he picked for every position turned out to be absolute crap. You literally could have picked names out of a phone book and done better than Trump did with his appointees. While I’m certain that he had good intentions, this country is in all likelihood going to pay an irreparable price for his ghastly errors in judgment.
I’m sure they can find 12 Trump-haters in Noo Yawk.
Tom T. Hall likes beer too but he would have been a worse choice (too old and never studied law).
What is wrong with women in politics?
The only ones with real conservative backbone that I recall are Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher, and Sarah Palin.

P.S. Jillian Anderson was great as Margaret Thatcher in The Crown series on Netflix. Did a great job on educating the Queen during the Mandela crisis in South Africa.
Barret and Kavanaugh are so disappointing, I wonder if the protests against them (esp. Kavanaugh) were a diversion to get them in, sort of a “lady doth protest too much” kind of thing.
My father died a few weeks ago.

Trump was played in so many ways.
IRS audits don’t encompass misstatements on bank loan documents. That’s undoubtedly the focus of the Vance investigations. Overstatement of asset value are violations of state banking codes.
Kavanaugh has written some good, clear opinions--which kind of surprised me. But the only justices you could set your Reality Watch by have been the obvious: Scalia+, Thomas, Alito, Rehnquist+. Who am I forgetting? (Anybody?)
Don’t do it. Let them arrest him and become a bonafide political prisoner.
For the first time in his adult life, he WASN'T the boss. Every one of his major appointments required Senate confirmation.
I told my wife throughout the Kavanaugh hearings.....I can’t stand his whiney voice, I can’t stand his fratboy elitist party background, “I Like beer” he said.
I couldn’t that this guy from the minute I saw and heard him. I don’t trust him. I knew guys in college just like him. Frat party guys. Nauseating and I couldn’t stand to be around them and their cliques.
If I own a $300,000 home I can pretend it's worth $10 million. Who the hell is going to let me use the home as collateral for a $5 million loan without getting a third-party appraisal first?
It's easy to make that connection; I think it is wrong, though. We have moved from a Constitutional Republic to Imperial rule supported by a techno-fascist oligarchy. Sir John Glubb was right. The shelf life of the first American "empire" was 250 years, give or take. The question now is will this new Imperial America have the same longevity, or will the people do away with it while it is still in the crib?
Ditto! Trump himself and many of his 75 million voters will pay the price for his failing to follow Gen Flynn’s advice to declare martial law via the Insurrection Act until new free and fair elections be held under military auspices, blocking China Joe from taking office!

Trump is not omniscient. You can only use your best judgment based on a person’s record and recommendations from known conservatives to make your decision.
Heck, even Jesus Christ chose a Judas to be His disciple.
I don’t understand Amy at all. Thought they were true to the constitution but I guess she really isn’t who she said she was. A disgrace to this country.
I suspect the true goal is to destroy the Trump Organization and make it impossible for them to do business.
I said it on another thread, I’ll say it again: “Hey SCOTUS. No amount of pandering to Democrats will save your court from being packed.”
I have never in my life, as an American, seen the full weight of the entire country’s legal machinery deployed against one man, especially a former president.
This in NO WAY resembles the America I was born in.
Any of the fake conservatives can readily be impeached. Judges can be impeached for bad behavior, such as refusing to protect Trump against a politically motivated, totally improper search in clear violation of Amendment IV.
Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and Merrick Garland would love to sit on the Supreme Court.
A mere 17 Republican senators out of 50 can throw Roberts or Barrett or Kavanaugh or even all three to the Democratic wolves.
At this point, we don’t have anything to lose.
Roberts, Barrett and Kavanaugh do have a lot to lose. They need to walk the conservative line.
