The evidence of Assad and his regime's legacy of war crimes
CBS ^ | Feb.21, 2021

(excerpt) President Biden and his national security team will soon face a horror that erupted a decade ago, when many of them were in the Obama administration. March will bring the 10th anniversary of the popular uprising that began Syria's civil war. The Syrian dictator, Bashar al-Assad, has gassed the innocent, bombed hospitals and schools, and made thousands disappear. The evidence is hard to watch but it should be seen. Many risked their lives to tell this story so that — even if Assad is never arrested — he will be, forever, handcuffed to the truth.

(excerpt) More than 900,000 government documents have been smuggled out and archived by the Independent Commission for International Justice and Accountability. The commission is funded, in part, by the U.S. and European Union. Stephen Rapp is the commission's chair.

Scott Pelley: Do the documents that have been collected so far lead all the way to President Assad?

Stephen Rapp: There's no question they lead all the way to President Assad. I mean, this is a top down, organized effort. There are documents with his name on it. Clearly he organizes this strategy. Then we see orders down through the system to pick people up. We see reports back.(excerpt)

Let me guess-we’ll see the growth of another US armed ISIS in the near future?

Arab Spring worked so well that they want to try it again?
No, thank you.

Like a cloistered Cockroach, Assad has remained in place.
I’ve heard that his father authorized the killing and torture of even more citizens.

It’s the citizens of Syria that I have sympathy for.
This country has been under heavy bombardment for 10 years.
Even if it all stopped tomorrow (it won’t), it would take two, three generations to regain a more normal, functioning existence. Assad and Co. made unsympathetic characters years ago, but Obama made it worse.

More illegal wars from bad foreign policy along with hyperinflation from bad economic policy. Country is in the very best of hands. Blood is on legitimate Xiden voters. You brought this and you will be the ones held to account.

Another war to overthrow one of the few remaining secular governments in the Middle East. Meanwhile, we’ve decided to cuddle up to Syria’s protector Iran.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we wound up with two divisions of our troops shooting at each other over there.

“President Biden and his national security team will soon face a horror that erupted a decade ago...”

Didn’t read the article, (naturally), but what horror is Zhou Bi Din and his national security team going to soon face? The fact that Bashar is still in power in spite of “crossing a red line” drawn by the all-powerful Obama?

Didn’t Bi Din order U.S. troops back into Syria on his first day in office? Perhaps he thinks that what this country needs is another war after four years of no new ones.

Looks like they’re getting ready to ramp up another war. Oops, sorry! I used the wrong terminology there. This is better: Looks like they’re getting ready to ramp up another kinetic action.

Well, come on all of you, big strong men
Uncle Sam needs your help again.
Joe says we’ve got all the right criteria
To intervene once again in Syria.
So put down your books and pick up a gun
We’re gonna have a whole lotta fun.

Who do the Christians support and who do they fear? They support President Assad and fear cruel Sunni rule. Assad controls over 80% of the country by population and the Syrian people want everybody out including us.

The deep state sent word to their friends in the media to again push the idea of regime change in Syria. The last such push did not result in enough Middle East refugees to complete the demographic reordering of Europe to align its people sufficiently with Islam.

Prior to the Western push to destabilize Syria (yes, the “Syrian opposition” was a Western, and “moderate” Sunni-Arab covert-aid project that began in 2002-2003, “underground”, preparing a “mass movement” that would join a Western push to oust Assad. It rose up against Assad only up on signals from the West that the west would back it up.

The deep state was then and remains filled with stupid people that thought somehow Assad would just lie down and give up. NOTHING in Syrian history supported such an idea. The Assad response was in total agreement with Syrian history.

And worse, for the west, was how the whole mess altered, in negative ways, the U.S. security outlook in the region.

Peior to the destabilization of Syria, the Assad regime was a western security issue but it was a concern that was contained and stable. Additionally, without the regime facing an existential threat it had not seen any need to have the extreme levels of Russian and Iranian military presence on Syria soil. The Western regime change agenda reversed the contained and stable situation with Syria into one with a Russian military presence in the eastern Mediterranean that the Czars only dreamed of and never before achieved.

In every way imaginable the deep state made a mess where a mess had not been.

Yep

However, Syria and Assad are irrelevant.

The Abraham accord is in effect a new ball game. Many can’t seem to grasp the concept and are trying to play the old game that is actually over.

And, the Pelosi/Biden regime has no real effect because Trump removed America as a player. The coalition and Iran are the players.

Pre war propaganda.

Biden and the neolibs want back in the game, and the neocons will help them.
