Skaters arriving at Central Park’s two ice rinks are in for a cold awakening next week — the rinks, which are both managed by the Trump Organization, are being shuttered by City Hall to punish the former president for the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol riot, The Post has learned.
The Trump Organization says its last day of operating the iconic Wollman Rink and the smaller Lasker Rink at the park’s northern end will be Sunday.
The rink contracts had been set to expire in April, but Mayor de Blasio has moved to ice Trump out a month early, effective Feb. 26.

“Despite our appeals to the City to allow us to continue operations through the duration of the skating season — which would not only save the jobs of nearly 250 individuals who work or otherwise provide services Wollman and Lasker Rinks, but also allow us to continue to provide the numerous public skating sessions and skating and hockey programs that we host on a daily basis — the City rejected our efforts,” the Trump Organization told The Post in a statement.
Executive Vice President Eric Trump, the former commander in chief’s son, slammed de Blasio for being “petty” in ending the contracts, and said he was saddened that kids would be kept off the ice.

The mayor is trying to hurt Trump and he is only hurting his own citizens.
Trump lost 2.5 billion of his net worth while he was President, didn't take a salary, and this fat kaiser wilhem thinks that Trump gives a flying f.... about a coupla bucks from a skating rink.

Evidently, it wasn’t about winning (or even stealing) an election in a democratic process, it’s about pogroms, purges and other such things in a communist/fascist process. Stripping his clearance, canceling real estate deals, forbidding doing business with him (as in this case), barring him from running again, and probably stripping his Secret Service detail, or barring him from being buried with other ex-presidents in the future, not to mention the social media bans and blackouts, and prohibiting libraries and like, as well as firing his appointees and even his supporters who were appointed by others, are all just aspects of a fascist process that would have been handled by a few bullets in times past.

So I take it that Trump has been running the rinks since he fixed them almost 40 years ago. And now De Blasio is going to break the contract , put people out of work and keep people from going outside because of pettiness . Wonder how those 250 people feel being thrown out of work at this time?
