Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said he’s backing candidates who can win in the midterms. In a Politico interview Saturday, the Kentucky lawmaker said his goal in every way possible is to have nominees representing the Republican Party who can win.
His comments come as four Senate Republicans announced their plans to retire in 2022 instead of seeking reelection. McConnell went on to say the only thing he cares about is electability, regardless of whether the candidate is backed by President Trump.

Who is this McConnell thing?

Exactly— because it is VERY arguable that both Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue would have won-— if McConnell had as much clout as he keeps saying he has. He didn’t do as Trump asked (and Trump supported both in several and one final rally).
Oh, no Mitch did not come through with the 1200.00 stimulus which would have made the difference—because he knew what was coming with Trump the fraud impeach the works, and he did not want either Loeffler or Perdue there (which they were before and on January 6th. They were at the vote count in the Senate.
Apparently no one caught their “experience” of the storming of the Capitol, or thought to ask, since the obamaumao marxist Warnock, and CA fag commie Ossoff “won”. Trump would have had their 2 votes FOR acquittal and ole Mitch was trying to be a big manipulator. Look what he is now- a chi-com lackey.

It's really quite a simple task. Just admit your part in the Jan. 6th melee at the Capitol, and then tender your resignation. Otherwise, the Republican Party is dead on arrival, you putrid rancid traitor.

BOTH Loeffler and Perdue would have won if McTurtle would have done 2 things; 1) kept his mouth shut about Biden being the President/ “winning” ,as he did on 12/15—pissing off our base.(he could have waited until AFTER 1/5); 2) Do as Trump asked and given an up or down vote on the 2,000$ check-ONLY before 1/5—swing voters said that was the deciding issue.
(Biden came in the Friday before 1/5 and said vote for the 2 Dems and I’ll give you the 2k)

Absolutely correct. Mitch McConnell has been blocking good conservative candidates from winning senate seats for decades. See Chris McDaniel’s run for the senate seat from Missouri in 2014.
There will be no reforming or rehabilitation of the senate as long as Mitch McConnell is their leader. He will be there for six more years.

It will be a disaster if Trump tries to GOTV for the GOPe Senate in 2022. I really hope he pulls his punches and waits for 2024 if he intends to run then.
