McConnell and the GOP elites (GOPe) worked against President Trump for years preventing him from passing his wildly popular agenda to protect America, its workers, and its citizens.
McConnell did not hold back as he ripped Trump apart for a “disgraceful dereliction of duty” and attempting to “overturn the election.”
He claimed that the protesters stormed the Capitol because they had been “fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on earth,” and that Trump was “practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day.”
And then Mitch McConnell suggested that President Trump can still be charged in the criminal justice system!
The Dems who also try to prevent President Trump from running again in 2024 came with another plan that would only need a simple majority to succeed.

It doesn’t matter what McConnell says or does, or doesn’t say or do.
The passage if a Joint Resolution placing a single living individual in the 21st century in a category created for officers and officials of the CSA in the 19th century is a bridge too far.
Either the USSC will declare it a Bill of Attainder and void, or they will have a war on their hands, a war that would cost them everything they value.
Unfortunately for them, they just ACQUITTED Pres. Trump for insurrection.
The action cannot occur, UNLESS there was an insurrection or rebellion.
Since he was FORMALLY ACQUITTED of that charge, it would not work.
You have to have the conviction FIRST. THAT FAILED.

McConnell was quoted after Dementia Joe was installed that he never ever wants to speak to Donald Trump ever again. He referred to the 45th President as Donald Trump not President Trump in the quote.

Don’t dump on McConnell to hard. He knows if here is a criminal prosecution in the courts Trumps legal team will be able to subpoena documents and testimony (taken under oath). Nancy & Chuck won’t want that at all.
