Should Trump remain in the GOP, his wide lead among these highly motivated voters affords him great leverage to influence the direction of the party by wielding the threat of conservative primary challenges against establishment Republicans ill at ease with the former president's combative brew of conservatism infused with populism and nationalism.

I said before the election that this election was going to consist of massive fraud. And Trump stood a good chance of loosing. I made it known that the time to act was before the election, and not after. Then people like you showed up and condemned what I was saying. And here we are. We lost due to mass cheating because of people like you who suppressed any sensible input or action.
And here you are already to jump right back on the exact same track. Do the exact same thing. And once again come to your exact same doom. Playing by the same set of losing rules. Only this time there won’t enough left in 4 years to fix anything.
And there are actually a fair number of people here who think the election was fair. No significant cheating. And I am not impressed.

What I see on this thread is a lot of emotion but very little logic and reason. I'm a Conservative, Leftists react emotionally. I refuse to join them.

It will be a three way uneven split, but they won’t loose anybody. They will be the ones to head committees and most likely to maintain majority in both houses to steer agenda and vendettas like the garbage we see today.

Here’s the thing. Reforming the existing party is much easier, but we have been trying unsuccessfully for 12 years now. First the tea party got coopted by the party. Then the Trump disruption got the full force of the political class. At what point do we consider a different strategy?

Impeaching a man who no longer has the position the action removes him from is pure idiocy. Anyone - Dem OR Rep - who is dumb enough to convict deserves to be mocked and primaried. If the real intent is to prevent another POTUS run, then that only makes Trump a stronger kingmaker! He doesn't need to run again and nobody would blame him for not wanting to go through even worse persecution than he endured the first time. He will have far greater influence to groom the next non-Democrat candidate as well as down ticket races. The RINOs better fear him - and us!
