The Biden administration wants to root out and eliminate what it believes to be an offensive word from every federal law.
The immigration bill President Joe Biden is sending Congress aims to appease progressives and illegal immigrants who want to be called something more pleasing to the ear than the current federal definition.
The word “alien” has peppered laws concerning those who are not American citizens since the 1798 Alien and Sedition Act.
“The bill further recognizes America as a nation of immigrants by changing the word ‘alien’ to ‘noncitizen’ in our immigration laws,” a Biden transition team news release stated.
One advocate for illegal immigrants is thrilled according to CNN, which noted “the symbolic significance is huge.”
“The language change on the first day of this administration, with Kamala Harris the daughter of immigrants, to me it’s not just symbolic … it’s foundational,” said Jose Antonio Vargas, an illegal immigrant himself who runs an organization called Define American.
“How we describe people really sticks. It affects how we treat them,” he said. “How we talk about immigrants shapes the policies. It frames what are the issues really at stake here. It acknowledges that we’re talking about human beings and families.”
Former President Donald Trump used the word “alien” earlier this month when talking about border policies during a visit to Texas, according to a transcript of his remarks.
“[A]liens released at the border remain at large in the country and do not return home. They won’t go home. And you rarely find them. It’s very tough to find them. So we have aliens released in our country, many of whom are serious criminals. And we’ve stopped that. Don’t ever start that process again,” Trump said at the time.

They’re not “illegal immigrants.” They are illegal criminal aliens! “Immigrants” are legal resident aliens given “immigrant” status or they are naturalized citizens who lawfully finished the immigration process.
There is no such term as “Illegal immigrant.” It is a fake lefty euphemism to lend legitimacy to invading aliens.

Changing the definition of all immigration laws from “alien” to “non-citizen” imparts automatic visa status on all immigration laws.
anybody “visiting” the US is, by definition, a “non-citizen” and the treaties to which we belong impart certain rights to those “visiting” in the US as opposed to those who snuck in and try to take up employment. (EG “Aliens” or more properly “illegal immigrants”)
It is funny how we try to soften things by arbitrarily changing words.
The proper term for those of darker complexion has been arbitrarily changed from negro to colored to black to African American to people of color, I don’t know what’s next.
It’s just stupid and I feel it is insulting to those with higher melanin content. Such arbitrary division.
So now instead of aliens we’ll say this or that or the other thing and it will mean the same and people will just start taking offense at the new term.
Geographically displaced persons are not aliens, before disclosure can happen that needs to be clear
It would probably be unconstitutional to do that, too.
Who knows what the ramifications are to future changes to laws that people didn't even know were changed?
Where is the representation when a single law can domino throughout the entire US Code without review and debate on each law that is impacted?

That sequel down the line was also pretty good, "Non-Citizen vs. Wildlife Management Specialist". Special interest groups want to insure any further non-citizen queens in the films put out a strong pro-LGBLT message.
A Vietnam vet friend who's now passed away told me he saw an Oriental woman drop her wallet in a grocery store. He brought it to her and said "Maam, I need to know if you're a chink, a gook or a slope so as not to offend you." He got quite a verbal barrage as he walked away laughing. I think that's so stupid, calling them African-American when they've never been there. After all, Elon Musk is African-American and he is not dark. Probably 'colored' was the most appropriate, but how about 'tanned'.
