We don't want the precedent of passing a single bill that unilaterally changes ALL laws currently on the books.

It would probably be unconstitutional to do that, too.

Who knows what the ramifications are to future changes to laws that people didn't even know were changed?

Where is the representation when a single law can domino throughout the entire US Code without review and debate on each law that is impacted?

This must not be allowed to happen.

Am afraid that phrase will get ‘worn out’ in quick fashion.

According to their ("fee-eelings"-based) logic, we could substitute the phrase "stuff currently in your possession" for "personal property" without a care!
