An explosion that shook downtown Nashville and injured at least three people Friday appears to have been "an intentional act," police said, as officials pointed to a suspicious vehicle that blew up at approximately 6:30 a.m. local time.

It is my understanding the police were already on scene due to the shots being fired ahead of time. They were evacuating people prior to the bomb going off. The bomb squad was also already on the way.
This really appears to be a false flag event. Twitter is on fire claiming it was Proud Boys or Boogaloo to instigate Trump to call for martial law (eye roll).
Given this happened in a more/less business district with gentrified apartments/condos, my feeling is this was Antifa. An open warning that they are not afraid to escalate their violence.
But...I would also consider the shooting was at a country music event in Las Vegas. This bombing was in the heart of country music Nashville. What’s the connection?

The bomber went far out of way to avoid loss of life. He was clearly target AT&T infrastructure, or had a really serious grudge against the Melting Pot restaurant.

How many times have we seen a report “shooting” or “stabbing” or “bomb plot” immediately followed by “Authorities have stated they know this is not connected to terrorism. They have no information on the identity or background of the suspects, or the weapons or plans, and reach out to the public in case the public have any information that could aid in the investigation. At this time there are no suspects in custody.”
