An explosion that shook downtown Nashville and injured at least three people Friday appears to have been "an intentional act," police said, as officials pointed to a suspicious vehicle that blew up at approximately 6:30 a.m. local time.

and Christmas.
But to what end?
It wasn’t. Local talk radio had witnesses calling in saying their was an electronic voice recording announcing it was a bomb and started a count down.
Guessing it’s Trump supporter, upset with voter-cheats.
Christmas Day to deflect.
Or urban renewal...
Important days denotes a Muslim event.
Warning people denotes a domestic angle.
I don’t know what to make of this one.
Will just have to wait and see what washes up on shore.
“But to what end?”
I suppose it’s a peaceful bomb meant to show us how tough they are and that they really mean it. In the mean time, the police are all over the last owner of record and are viewing every camera on every route leading to where it blew up. I think this one will be solved pretty quick.
It has a certain degree of sophistication to it, powerful device, planned event, loudspeaker recording and a reliable timing system.
I would figure the people who did it were in the area when it exploded. Video cams are everywhere. With the river near it, every bridge has video cams.
Sure as hell don’t need the police to verify it was an “intentional act”. There is a lot more to this than the obviious.
Was that coming from the RV or police?

“I would figure the people who did it were in the area when it exploded.”
The perps may have given themselves time to get out of dodge. McVeigh was still in the area when his bomb went off. Had he given himself enough time he might have gotten away with it.
Based on what I’ve read, it seems whoever created the bomb didn’t want anyone to get hurt. Which poses a lot of questions.
It was a “mostly peaceful” bombing .
I think you’ll find that the rv was previously stolen.
Photos and video from the area show the narrow 2nd Street corridor—which normally sees a high volume to pedestrian and tourist traffic—with scorched storefronts, burned trees, and blown out windows. The block running from Broadway to Commerce St. on 2nd Ave. is home to The George Jones Museum, The Wildhorse Saloon owned by Ryman Hospitality (The Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium), BB King’s Blues Club, Coyote Ugly, Benchmark, Big Shotz, and Leon’s Candy store, among other businesses.
No word on the severity of damage at these businesses at this time, though many of the establishments are in historic brick buildings that appear to have withstood the explosion.

I wonder if the evacuation suggestion was designed to get more people into the street that early in the morning and increase the casualties. Maybe the Police evacuated through the back and away from the subject vehicle.
