What does this mean “respond to”??
It is a hearing, but we know that we are 3 votes down and it is a high bar.
The best thing about this in my opinion is that it takes the case directly to SCOTUS and potentially consolidates the other cases. Texas has said they are going to file more so they can incorporate stuff from the other lawsuits.
There ia nothing for them to say. The election and voter fraud was obvious. Anything those states say will be insulting the intelligence of the Supreme Court Justices.
If they refuse this one, the coming implosion of the Republic will be solely due to their refusal to uphold the Constitution while tacitly approving tyranny, history will look very poorly on them ....
I think if this fails the next step is to say,”If one part of the constitution is voided then the whole document is void. Therefore, we are no longer part of this association of states.
I could be wrong, but appears to be where this is going.

Don’t read too much into that. Defendants always given a chance to respond before any decision about a case is made.

The states must justify why their unconstitutional cheat-by-mail-in ballots that were not passed through their respective legislatures did not disenfranchise the states like Texas, et al. where voters did everything according to the Constitution.

I am thinking they refuse the PA. suit BECAUSE this suit covers ALL of the issues AND in multiple states they are killing all birds with ONE STONE!!!
They respond and SCOTUS throws it out without comment.
There is nowhere else it can go peacefully after this. A new nation works for me.
The SCOTUS itself is on the line if this ballot thievery is allowed to stand. The Democrats have made it clear that they will dilute the court. The idiots. The SCOTUS will not slit its own throat. They will not destroy themselves.
They will blame changes made for the election was because of the pandemic and risk to public health. That’s about all they got and it won’t fly.
