Attorney General William Barr is weighing an early resignation, sources told The New York Times.
The news comes after a week where Barr had denied there was evidence of widespread voter fraud to overturn the election and multiple incidents of President Donald Trump declining to issue a public support of confidence in his one-time lockstep head of the Justice Department.
Three sources told the Times Barr might resign before the end of the year, but he is at least preparing to leave the DOJ by inauguration day, according to the report.

Only guns will give him that power. Laws only make such actions palatable to the citizen. Courts and law enforcement agencies have already shown they will have no part of helping Trump. What happens when Alito and the SC void the Pennsylvania election and the rest of government ignores them and holds the Electoral College vote, anyway?
All of the assumptions about outcomes are based on some part of government acting lawfully, as intended. When the entire government is proving to be unlawful, where is Trump to turn?

But at some point Trump should tell McConnell that getting screwed over is getting old. And then put up someone who is going to stand up for him.

I believe Trump has handled that thru some recent pentagon firings and appointments. I also believe the Military is still on Trump’s side. The instruments Trump put in place on Sept. 12, 2018 give him the authority to use the military to keep civil law and order to any degree he deems necessary. In a State of Emergency POTUS has limitless power and authority. And if needed, there are the civilian militia. Lock and load!
Well, Trump did say: “We caught ‘em all.” I don’t know who “we” is - certainly not Federal law enforcement nor the courts.
How much of this crap would we have been saved from if he had?

After eight long years of the Kenyanesian Usurper he absolutely should have cleaned house, but many true believers were burrowed into the civil service during that time, limiting the cleaning out that could be done.
He should have gotten rid of everyone he could.
One of the problems was the people recommending people to him could not be trusted either.
