FNC’s Ingraham: ‘I Would Be Lying to You’ if I Said There Was an ‘Excellent’ Chance SCOTUS Delivers Victory to Trump
Breitbart ^ | 11/24/2020 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 11/24/2020 7:25:39 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

Monday on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” Laura Ingraham expressed her pessimism about the prospects of the 2020 presidential election going in Donald Trump’s favor.

Ingraham also disputed any notion that saying it was likely Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden would be sworn in was a departure from conservatism.

The brilliance of the fraud was the enormity of it. Even under equal protection, what does that put in motion or change? Is there a quantifiable amount of specific votes that will be cancelled? How does all of this get done in two months or less?

I don’t even think SCOTUS will hear, never mind decide, any election cases.

Any originalist will know that taking Bush v Gore was a terrible mistake, and will not be anxious to repeat it.

I remember how someone got to Roberts during the Obamacare decision. Wouldn’t surprise me that the democrats would target the justices again to make sure they vote their way.

You know that still leaves a Conservative majority though? That’s why ACB was a big deal.

Well there is precedent for SCOTUS applying the Equal Protection clause with Florida in the Bush/Gore race.
Great! Except John Roberts wasn't Chief Justice then.

So precedent be damned.

Sorry but there is both criminal and civil evidence of voter fraud and by leaving the GOP observers out they are in violation of the Equal Protection Clause which can lead to the vote as being fraudulent and better legal minds than ours have affirmed it.

You are right in your assessment. Laura is only doing the bidding of her employer and is now to be ignored.

The Trump team has to overcome the natural reluctance of ANY judge to overturn election results.

To do so, they will have to prove well beyond the ‘preponderance of evidence’ standard that the results announced did not reflect the actual will of the people who legally voted.

I’m personally convinced that it’s possible, but I don’t know if it’s possible within the next couple of weeks, which is all that they’ve realistically got.

(I also figure that the Democrats are already doubling down on the GA Senate races, emboldened by what they’ve already done.)

Intuiting the likely reluctance of the Supreme Court to overturn an election does not take great psychic skills.

Trump has the legal tools to deal with this overt usurpation on his own. It’s called the insurrection act. He should have already acted on it. Let’s all wake up here and smell the coup.

I liked Laura pre-election but she turned quickly. While I quit watching Fox the day after the election I do believe she is right. The Deep State, Republicans and Democrats, will not let Trump win. The forces we are up against are incredible and include many we thought were our friends. We are definitely in a pre-socialism era and growing fast while also trying to survive in a post-Christian era. Not a good future to look forward to.

I'm just spit-balling here and tossing up another unlikely possibility:

Say Trump's legal challenges result in both Biden and Trump each ending up with less than 270 electoral votes. And further say Democratic governors and Republican legislatures of swing-states put forward competing slates of electors. So it ends up in the House of Representatives in January 2021, with Republicans holding a razor-thin edge in delegations. Is it possible that, "for the sake of the country," and "for the sake of unity, kumbaya, and all that stuff," the House gets together and decides it makes sense to select President Trump for reelection and Kamala as Vice President. Or, for the same kumbaya reasons, to select Joe Biden as President and Mike Pence as Vice President?

Or, is it also possible that Mike Pence might approach the House delegations and negotiate a deal with them, saying, in effect: For "the sake of country unity," I offer to not seek your vote for Vice President if you agree to select President Trump for a second term. Then, Trump gets a second term and Pence can say in 2024 that he sacrificed his position for country unity -- might give him a big advantage in running for President in 2024. Again, just spit-balling here. Any thoughts on these possibilities to avoid secession or civil war? Are any of them likely?

The level of proof required is the lowest category of proof, preponderance of the evidence.

Under the preponderance standard, the burden of proof is met when the party with the burden convinces the fact finder that there is a greater than 50% chance that the claim is true. This is the burden of proof in a civil trial

Here’s yet another possibility to add my list in post #97 above: Could the U.S. House select Trump for a second term and select Joe Biden as his Vice President, again, for “the sake of the country?”

President Trump’s life wouldn’t be worth a plug nickel in those circumstances.
I suggest you stay with working out how many angels can dance on the head of a pin and not design any other pyrrhic compromises.
