Nate Silver: "Without Pennsylvania, Biden becomes an underdog"
Axios ^ | Nov 1 2020 | Fadel Allassan

Posted on 11/01/2020 10:30:54 AM PST by rintintin

Joe Biden will become "an underdog" if he fails to win Pennsylvania and its 20 electoral votes, FiveThirtyEight founder Nate Silver said on ABC's "This Week" Sunday.

Why it matters: Trump won the battleground by less than a point in 2016, as he narrowly swept swing states in the Rust Belt to secure victory in the Electoral College. FiveThirtyEight's average of polls currently shows Biden with a 5% lead in Pennsylvania.

What he's saying: Silver told "This Week" that if Trump ends up winning the election, "it would come down to Pennsylvania."

"Pennsylvania has not bumped up to a 7- or 8-point Biden lead like we see in Michigan and Wisconsin. It's 5 points. It's not a big early voting state, so a lot of votes have not yet been cast in Pennsylvania," Silver said.

Biden is up by 7 in Wisconsin and MI per nate???

Nate Silver delivers for his clients. They want a 7 point lead, they got a 7 point lead. It's nonsense, of course, but it pays the bills. 1 or 2 points +/- with Trump enjoying a last minute surge. Turnout on Tuesday will tell the tale, and the Democrats told their voters to vote by mail and under no circumstances go to the polls on Tuesday. Advantage Trump.

“Nate Silver: “Without Pennsylvania, Biden becomes an underdog”

Ruh, Roh ...

oh, wait! the fake stream enemedia has been shouting from the rooftops that biden had MANY paths to victory, while trump’s was very narrow ... apparently, they were just dusting off the 2016 articles and changing the name “hillary” to “biden” without looking at the radically changed situation on the ground ...

Biden isn’t an “underdog.” At this point, Biden is a dead dog.

I’ve driven thru Western PA several times over the last two months. Trump signs and flags EVERYwhere. Last week’s trip, I did see many Biden signs but they were all on the side of the highway, in clusters of 3 or 4, as if a campaign worker was just driving around sticking them in high traffic areas. Very, very few Biden signs in private yards. I know it’s not a scientific measure of the vote but it sure made me smile!

——How could anyone in Pennsylvania vote for that?——

How?

There are tons of Philadelphians that are black. They have no minds, no will of their own. their very soul belong to the Africanized Democrat party

Ditto tons of radical Unionist that worship at their union

Ditto teachers that slop at the educator trough

“Biden becomes an underdog....”

Biden BECOMES an underdog? Hell, he DEFINES “underdog”. He is without doubt the emptiest suit that has EVER been nominated by any major political party, and I have included Alf Landon, Republican contender against FDR in 1936.

FDR mopped the streets with Alf Landon.

Live in Adams County, PA (first time voting here; first time in my life that I have lived in a “battleground” state where my vote matters - after living/voting in Idaho (R), WA (D), DC (D), Maryland (D). Compared to 4 years ago, many more Biden signs than Hillary signs - but also more Trump signs than 4 years ago.

I keep saying PA is the problem. But you can win without it and another 2016 state if you hold all others.

I’m cautiously optimistic. But very cautiously lol.

I am so jealous.

I would have told the campaign worker I was voting for the “other Biden”. ;-)

The New York Slimes said a couple of days ago that President Trump is getting 24% of the vote in Philadelphia.

That's Trumpslide territory.

FiveThirtyEight's average of polls currently shows Biden with a 5% lead in Pennsylvania.

YET, on their nice and useful interactive election map, their CURRENT DEFAULT has Biden firmly in control of PA at 85% chance of winning! For the entire election, they have Trump at a 10% chance with Biden sitting on 349 Electoral Votes! It is a fun plaything, especially when you pick Trump to win Michigan. That turns PA and many others to Trump, giving him 306 EVs!

Since the default base map has Biden winning GA, NC and FL, I figure that by 11pm or so, we should see the raw trend! Please LORD, spare Joe from cool Kamala!

If Joe Biden is the underdog, it follows directly that Kamala Harris is the under bitch

"and Nate is looking for a side exit"

Ol' Nate's heading for that exit with a big ol' bag o' money for his troubles manipulating his data. I'm sure he accepted the outcome long ago, now just a couple more days of, as Team America would put it ... "Acting!"

I’m figuring we will win Ga, Fl and NC.

If we win PA we’re in. But we can win without it. We can barely win without Pa and NC.

Take a time travel back to election night 2016.

You are a lefty who trusts CNN.

Here is what they told you about North Carolina:

https://www.cnn.com/2016/10/25/politics/poll-north-carolina-clinton-leads-trump-by-seven/index.html

Then they announce that Trump won North Carolina.

No wonder the lefties got hysterical.

The President has a chance this year to take every single southern state (yes, including Virginia).

_No_ pollster is showing that.

This is gonna be fun to watch!
