President Donald Trump on Saturday announced the signing of an executive order to protect both the fracking and oil and gas industries following former Vice President Joe Biden’s pledge to “transition from the oil industry.”
“Just signed an order to protect fracking and the oil and gas industry,” the president wrote on Twitter. “This means JOBS, low energy bills, and continued AMERICAN ENERGY INDEPENDENCE! Sleepy Joe would BAN fracking and destroy American energy jobs! He has NO clue!!”

A White House fact sheet of the order — titled “President Donald J. Trump Is Supporting Hydraulic Fracturing and Other Technologies to Protect Our Jobs, Economic Opportunity, and National Security” — reads that the president will undertake the following actions to protect the fracking and oil and gas industries:
Due to public calls to ban or restrict such technologies, the President has directed his Administration to assess the potential effects of such bans or restrictions on American citizens. The Administration will assess the potential consequences of fracking bans – such as job losses – on Americans who are directly or indirectly benefiting from the energy industry and other industries, including mining for sand and other minerals. The President wants to protect these jobs and help out-of-work Americans who are seeking good jobs. No responsible public official should sacrifice vast numbers of American jobs and livelihoods to appease domestic radicals and curry favor with foreign powers. Biden made the pledge to “transition” from the oil industry during the final presidential debate in Nashville, Tennessee.

Spent 8 years listening to folks howl on this board every time O signed an EO.
Now the same folks are cheering and its’s used at political rally’s to gin up support..
I trust that should Biden win the support for EO’s here will remain the same...
The real issue here is that if a president can sign an EO protecting the fracking industry a president can also sign an EO banning fracking.
This is a legislative issue...
That was not the "victory" the Dems wanted.
The Supremes actually gave the Rs a roadmap on exactly how to prevail and what arguments to make.
If the Rs are smart they will follow it. Ask for an order to segregate the late votes and then follow the arguments the Supremes laid out as "winning" to have these segregated votes not counted.
If the election hinges on PA, they will answer these questions in a timely manner. If the election is decided without PA, they may take more time but will sooner or later answer them, probably in our favor.

See, this is what I like about Trump.
I could see a politician like Bush or Romney signing this, but you often feel they do so only because the gun of political wind is aimed at the back of their heads...they came across as if they would sign something like that under duress.
You get the impression that Trump is not only enthusiastic about something like fracking, but would also get great enjoyment out of flipping the double eagle to every single Lefty out there...:)
I like that. A lot. He has his own shortcomings, but all the other stuff he stands for crushes them like a Zamboni so thoroughly that I don’t even care one whit about any of them.
