I heard this live. Just sad.
Going to miss, El Rushbo.
Damn. I knew they were long odds, but it is still tough to think of the world without Rush.
Truly one of the most influential men of my lifetime.
Let’s all pray for a miracle.
Rush has inspired and spawned such a legion of thinkers/talkers in broadcast, that he will live forever.
I hope that David has brought Rush to Christ. I know that for years Rush gave God reverence and treated Christians respectfully, but I never felt that Rush knew the Lord.
David (a brilliant lawyer and author) certainly does.
Rush is a national treasure, and has done amazing things for the Conservative movement. But listening to Rush lately, it is clear that he also discovered that his money, fame, private jet, Florida beachfront mansion, stocks, and all his possessions mean nothing when you are facing death.
In the final analysis, we all meet our Creator.
Christ is the only hope, and the only way.
He also stated he has a personal relationship with Christ. That is the most important thing he said. I will be extraordinarily sad when the cancer delivers the inevitable end in this life but I am thrilled to know that there will be a chance to see Rush again in his new body.
This is tough news. Be comforted through your loved ones
All I can say for Rush is 4 more years!! 4 More years!! And in 4 years we will ask for 4 more years for Rush and after those 8 years we will hope they have a cure for his type of lung cancer. So hang in there Rush.
I think Rush will on the air until he can’t, he does not have a defeatist attitude,
We all knew his time was coming, but its especially devastating to hear Rush himself surrender to it. God bless him.
Tears in my eyes for Rushie and Katherine. He said when he announced his illness that Oct 1 was the longest he could go. He’s still here for a reason and the lord has not called him home yet because he still has work to do. He is truly Gods hands and feet on earth.
God bless you Rush!!
God bless you Rush.
All of us are under a death sentence. I’m just a couple of years younger than Rush and in very good health, but I know that I’m in that period in life where anything can happen, completely unexpectedly.
Life will kill you - Warren Zevon
I only hope he knows how much he is loved. He has lived a life of great value. I know that doesnt have much meaning on this side, but when he stands before God it will matter a great deal. Im glad he found Catherine.
Hope is is kept comfortable and pain free in his last days.
I work sometimes in a Hosp....Death happens all the time.
Some are dignified, others are horrid.
I have had many on Vent's that it was fruitless and a horrid way to die....but family or the patient wanted that.
I do not get that...but it is what it is...And I hate that saying. : )
I love Rush...since the mid 80's..I've learned so many things from him....
But we are all going to die. I wish he could live more....but he will die.
God bless you Rush..
I did not get the feeling that Rush Limbaugh was speaking like it is being portrayed in this article. He made the baseball analogy that he was rounding second and had to scurry and slide back to the base but is firmly on second base. He also stated at the start of his treatment his outlook was very dim or extremely bleak but now there is a fighting chance.
He spoke so bravely about it; with such immense courage that it was difficult for me to grasp the bad news. Amazing person and professional.
