Democratic Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot fired back at President Trump on Tuesday night after he skewered her city as a hotbed of crime and violence during a presidential campaign debate against Joe Biden.
The Windy City had 58 shootings and eight deaths during a single recent weekend, the president argued.

It’s been a weird year. The left argues that the total violence in cities was much higher 20 years ago, and they are correct. And SOME violence is not going up, but the murders are, relative to the past few years.
And they seem to be arguing that the Trump administration did a great job of getting the nation to lower the crime rate, and now it is shooting up because leftists are mad about a dozen or so specific examples of what they call police brutality, and the default democrat reaction to something they don’t like is to go burn down black neighborhoods.
I am supposed to attend a trade show in $hitcago next year. I’m not going.

We went to Chicago a few years ago to see the Hamilton play. Stayed downtown. Don’t roam around downtown (Loop area) after the sun goes down.
She really does look like a science experiment gone horribly wrong.
