Shortly after Trump was elected president, HATE HAS NO HOME HERE (HHNHH) yard signs began adorning the minority-manicured lawns of white-collar, white-skinned liberals. Youve seen the sign. Its message is translated into multiple languages, which is meant to broadcast a globalist diversity of sorts by those who speak not only just English, but that sniffy dialect molded within the narrow confines of a university pedigree loftier than junior college but conspicuously short of Ivy League. You can all but hear them finish their Starbucks order with that irritating raised inflection on the last syllable.
The underlying message of the HHNHH yard sign is two-fold. First, its virtue signaling in its most tawdry form. Yard signs announcing POVERTY IS BAD and I SUPPORT CURING CANCER would ring just as hollow. Sorry, but you dont get a cookie for broadcasting to the world that you oppose hate. Most people do, and their daily actions are sufficient proof thereof. A lion doesnt need to convince people its a lion.
Second, the HHNHH yard sign alludes that a home which opposes President Trump is axiomatically hate-free, and, by deductive logic, a home which supports President Trump categorically welcomes hate with open arms. The sign smugly implies, I'm a good person, and it's a shame that you're not. This insinuation might not rise to the level of hate, but it certainly sinks to the level of arrogance, condescension, and sweeping judgment.
But over time the HHNHH yard signs faded along with the Im With Her bumper stickers. The yard sign prophets needed something new, something snarkier, with which to impress their woke comrades and irritate the handyman who lives on the streets only single story home. So a new yard sign was handed out that reads like a manifesto.

I started seeing those last year here in MA and I assumed that they were intended to be anti-Trump. The Left likes to portray him as mentally unstable in some way.
I see tremendous irony that the Democrats are running Joe Biden and many of his supporters have that Any Functioning Adult 2020 sign on their lawn. It's a laugh.
We should all do that.
You know 99% of them dont have firearms anyway. Just come armed with a bat.
However, these people who do promote this sign signals that hate does have a home there. It is just directed as those they have determined, without any real proof, are filled with hate. They hate President Trump and his supporters, and they would be all for killing all of the above if they knew it carried no consequences. In other words they are nothing but hypocrites of the nth degree.
Yes, Ive seen those all-encompassing BS virtuesignalling signs. Just not so many yet.
To wit, perhaps our signs should be:
INSERT VIRTUE-SIGNALLING SLOGAN HERE
I usually suggest the socialism/communism HNHH or rioting HNHH, but mentioning virtue-signaling might be best.
The lone Biden/Harris sign in my area belongs to the Dems who live at the bottom of the other side of the mountain.
[the very same ones who have nearly killed me several times by not bothering to stop for oncoming traffic as they rocket out of their hidden lane]
It’s hand made and was nailed 20 feet up a tree, late last week.
So far, it’s still there.
I would just as soon show my NRA sign and call it quits. However, I am flying a Thin Blue line 3X5.
I’ve only seen a couple of Biden stickers on cars, one Prius and one Scion.
They were snuggled up against a slew of “COEXIST” and Crazy Cat Lady type stickers, so....
;)
Start slapping “I (heart) Marxism” bumper stickers on the cars of BLM supporters
Our suburb is full of signs. The Love of God sign is a nice retort for those who want to engage in the yard sign wars. In addition to sign wars, we have the flag wars. American flags vs rainbow flags. We see a lot of BLM sign + rainbow flag combos. We have an activist relative who has combined this with a solar energy sign, adding to her liberal cred. I liked the witty columnist who compared it all to smearing blood on the door frame at passover. It all feels very ritualistic.
“A neighbor has a yard sign saying All Are Welcome Here, but that doesnt mean they can knock on her door and expect a meal or a bed.”
Exactly.
I have a niece who grew up in a wealth suburb of Minneapolis, went to a wealthy college and has a good job. In her mid 30’s, she still a bit of a drama queen.
After marrying, she wanted to show her diversity and built a new home in a not real great part of Minneapolis. Their home stands out like a sore thumb on the block. BTW, her home was only two block from the rioting that took place in Minneapolis back in May. What was the first thing she did when the rioting started? She fled for the suburbs!
About six months ago, I told her that I was gonna start giving out her name and address to the people downtown who claimed they needed money to eat or for the bus. She gave me this mildly scared and then angry look.
She is absolutely one of those people like you described.
If hate has no home there, neighbor, why do you so fervently hate our President and his supporters?
Great signs! I need to get one. Any suggestions on where to find one?
I will begin a search while I wait for feedback. Thanks!
I’ve seen the sign in this article in my neighborhood. I’ve even seen someone wearing this on a t-shirt.
Found the website: https://loveliveshereintheusa.com/
Looks like 1 yard sign is $29.00 shipped. Discounts on volume. Bumper stickers, etc available.
A little pricey for me. Will see what else is available out there.
So, if you drive a Subaru, does that come with the right to hate Trump?
Good working finding where to buy that sign !
