Jerry Falwell Jr. reveals wife’s affair: ‘Like living on a roller coaster’
New York Post ^ | August 24, 2020 | Zachary Folk

Jerry Falwell Jr., the son of late evangelical leader Jerry Falwell, revealed Sunday that his wife had an affair with a family friend that sent him into a depression he described as “like living on a roller coaster.”

The admission follows Falwell Jr. being placed on indefinite leave from his post as president of Liberty University two weeks ago, after a controversy surrounding a racy Instagram photo he had posted.

In a statement sent to the Washington Examiner, Falwell admitted that his wife, Becki Falwell, struck up an “inappropriate personal relationship” with a Florida pool boy who worked at one of the family’s properties.

Well they don’t really make all The facts here. But it seems like the falwell’s got involved in some kind of financial relationship with sky? And he later threatened to blackmail them. So he may only be coming forward because he realized the third party was going to expose him his family anyway

Yes. People with swimming pools do hire pool companies to keep the pool clean and free of algae. We have a company that keeps our pool clean but I never saw a “pool boy” that I would do more than wave at from a distance.

I don’t think I’ve ever met a “pool boy.” Is that really a thing?

I don’t know about “pool boy”, but according to History of The World - Part 1, there is a “piss boy”.

Several of my kids were lifeguards, but I guess that’s different.

They’ve done it with the ol’ pull out since time forgotten. It’s very effective.

So this is what threw him off his game. I hope they can work it out.

Wasn’t actor Dustin Hoffman a Pool Boy in the film Mrs. Robinson?
They have a long history.

Ratzo Rizzo was a bum.

IMO these people need not preach moral values to the flock. They need to find another line of work. As for the wife she was wrong getting herself into an adulterous relationship. Hasn’t she heard of a divorce.

Possibly he has reason to believe that the wife is going to announce it anyway. Might as well get in front of it.

I do not believe him. I assumed both of then were involved with the pool boy. Even if I was wrong, his blaming his wife confirms to me there is something scandalous about HIM, that is he deflecting.

That is a weird story. According to The NY Times - the couple met the pool boy in Florida, where he must have made quite an impression since they started going on hikes with him in Virginia and waterskiing. They also helped him purchase a several million dollar building, and took him to meet President Trump.

Different strokes for different folks, but if that’s true (and knowing it’s The NY Times it may very well not be true) then that is a very interesting situation. I am considered generous by most people around me, but I doubt my wife and I would be so helpful to a veritable stranger. But different strokes for different folks.

See my post below yours. There’s definitely more to that story than ‘wife with pool boy.’

Rates Rizzo was in Midnight Cowboy. Dustin Hoffmann spent a lot of time hanging out at his parent’s pool (a bum of a different sort) but he wasn’t a pool boy.

"Living on a roller coaster" is usually how people married to bi-polar mates describe it.

Makes on wonder.
