An auto-shop owner on the edge of Seattle’s cop-free CHAZ says police refused to help as an angry mob stormed his property — forcing his son to pull a gun to protect them, according to video and reports.
John McDermott told KIRO 7 News that he initially tried to detain a protester Sunday night who stole cash and set a fire in his Car Tender business on the edge of the so-called “Capital Hill Autonomous Zone.”
His son, Mason McDermott, helped tackle the suspect who “tried to cut me with a box cutter,” he told the station, showing large slits in his jeans close to his crotch.
Other protesters soon arrived — and video on social media shows the mob eventually knocking over a section of fencing, running in to confront the owners and angrily demand the return of the original suspect.

Looks like someone is going to have to become a martyr before this nonsense is stopped, voluntarily or otherwise.
Why not? They are restricted from doing just about anything and why get hurt when the city itself doesn’t back you up?
Just like they observe antifa beating people up. I have no sympathy for Portland or Seattle police.
The anti-Chaz/Chops side needs to build a bunch of technicals, as built/used in Somalia, Syria etc. and hit Chaz/Chops with crew served weapons.
Why would they get involved?

They (police) didn't come. The business owner and his son were lucky to get away with their lives this time.
Their task now is to realize they live in a third-world hell-hole and figure out how to extricate themselves with as much wealth as possible.

Fire trucks and water cannons would clean up 90 percent of this mess.
There would be little else for the mounted and K-nine units to do. All non-lethal.

Police all over the country are going to be asking these questions. They need to know that we normal, law-abiding citizens appreciate their work and have their back, or else there could be a cascading effect.
The cops will swarm the defender, and he will spend the the rest of his life in prison.

The police have NO SUPPORT at the city leadership level which is akin to jumping into a storm ravaged sea with NO life jacket or any other life-support.

I can’t imagine why anyone would want to become, or remain, a police officer today. We are going to be in a world of hurt when we no longer have the highly professional and well-trained police that we have today.
I don’t want a ‘social worker’ showing up at my door when some nut or criminal has gone off the rails and is endangering me. I want a good old American COP, with LAW behind him/her.
The cops in Seattle are being constrained by their stupid politicians. Why should any of them risk their lives and the security of their families to give a sh!t anymore?
Blue state police as a whole are worthless. I give zero fvcks for the blue areas. Sometimes it is only prudent to let go of unwinnable and hostile territory for a greater gain in the war.
