Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina is probably tired of questions about being a black man in the Republican Party. The liberal media that continues to ask him about it cant hide their own racism as if Scott is too stupid to think for himself and doesnt want to join others on the Democratic Party plantation.
But the media is oblivious to their own racist attitudes. They believe they occupy a position of moral supremacy over Republicans despite all the evidence to the contrary.
NBCs Craig Melvin of the networks Third Hour of the Today Show apparently just couldnt help himself.
Washington Examiner:
The moment occurred during an interview with NBCs Craig Melvin, who pressed Scott to respond to a number of questions about the senators efforts toward criminal justice reform and the White Houses response to the national debate surrounding the wrongful death of George Floyd.
Senator, you have faced a fair amount of criticism, Melvin said, especially over the past few days, because you are the only black Republican senator.
Now, one would think that because there are so few blacks in the Senate that Scotts position alone would be cause for celebration. Not so. And if he is the only black Republican Senator, why should that be a cause of criticism?
The NBC anchor, who is black, added, Some have said that your party is using you, theyve even thrown around the word token, as well. Your response to that criticism?
Some people say or the ubiquitous studies show are code words for, I say and This is what I think. Its rank dishonesty that lazy reporters who dont want to prepare for an interview with an intelligent man, fall back on to make themselves sound knowledgable and urbane.

Lower than WORM CRAP.....CLASSLESS.
Perfectly condescending and racist! Well done!
Senator Scott was not picked in some smoke-filled room by GOP power brokers. The Senator won a primary election and then a general election by convincing a sufficient number of voters to vote for him. He earned his office.
That response was classic. I hope that reporter had enough sense to know that he was just shamed.
What a rude, condescending ass****! I hope senator Scott gave him a deathstare and/or a scathing comeback-the article doesn’t say...
"I don't see too many dark faces in this newsroom, Craig. Some people might think you are just a 'house n*****r' around here. Now how does that make you feel?"
I know, I was never any good at politics. No filter at all.
This is how the story should be repeated in modern journolistic style: “White reporter calls Tim Scott a ‘House N!//R!”
Because that’s what NBC would do to anyone else.

Is Craig Melvin a ‘token human.’ then???
NBC, Biden, and the Left are RACIST AS HELL. It’s like blacks are slaves to them.
That was a racist question.
While the Democrats have only 2, Kamala Harris and Cory Booker. So are they just double tokens?
No kidding.
“Some people say or the ubiquitous studies show are code words for, I say and This is what I think. Its rank dishonesty that lazy reporters who dont want to prepare for an interview with an intelligent man, fall back on to make themselves sound knowledgable and urbane.”
That’s a great quote, but I don’t know who said it. It wasn’t in that interview. I watched the video and read the transcript of the ENTIRE interview. It’s NOT in there.
Here's Scott's answer from the Wash Examiner article Moran pirated:
Well, I am also the only person in my conference who has been racially profiled, driving while black, the senator said. Im the only one in my conference thats been stopped seven times in one year as an elected official, perhaps the only one in my conference wearing this senate pin that was stopped from coming into the building.
He added, So if theres someone in the conference who understands discrimination and profiling, its me. Its the reason why I asked to lead this charge because it is a personal issue; it is the right issue. And frankly, I think it helps to have someone who has been a victim of this situation and who still has a tremendous respect for where our country can go together. So I shrug those comments and criticisms off. But youve got to know, when youre a black Republican, youre like a unicorn. People are going to criticize you when you wake up, when you go to sleep. If you say you like apple pie and football, theres a lot of critics for that, too. So, God bless their souls.
The MSM are all tokens for the commies.
We’re starting to actually SMELL the desperation. They’re throwing everything possible against the wall.
November will turn out just as it did in 2016.
