Just FYI, SpaceX has no few very angry old engineers from the DC-X and Rotary Rocket programs too. It’s not just new guys and gals but people who are still angry about NASA forcibly stifling private space flight from the 80s through the 2010s to protect their precious Shuttle.
I lived in Satellite Beach and watched a few launches, too.
It’s absolutely amazing to watch.
I think they’re doing this one on one of the ocean drone barges. Here’s a 15 second video of the recent Starlink booster returns. Two of them landing simultaneously.

I was staying in a condo on the beach and watched from the balcony.
But, back home in Broward County, we could see the Shuttle in the sky during a launch. It was cool, but not nearly as awesome as being right there.
I looked it up...it was Endeavor STS-97 at around 10:30 at night. It lit up the sky like it was daytime.
Three minutes to find out if weather is acceptable
