Most new Covid-19 hospitalizations in New York state are from people who were staying home and not venturing much outside, a shocking finding, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday.
The preliminary data was from 100 New York hospitals involving about 1,000 patients, Cuomo said at his daily briefing.
It shows that 66% of new admissions were from people who had largely been sheltering at home. The next highest source of admissions was from nursing homes, 18%.
“I’ve been staying at home” is the obvious correct answer; that doesn’t make it the truthful answer.
He 5G conspiracy....
In New York you have literally thousands of apartment dwellers sharing the same circulated air. Its clearly more dangerous to shelter in place in an apartment or condominium than to get out and get sunshine and fresh air.
Again the same murderers who ordered Covid patients into nursing homes have ordered apartment dwellers to lock themselves in their contaminated high rises.
“Right on, man.”
I lol’d. Thanks man!
THis does not shock me at all.
The virus is NOT spreading at the grocery stores — as can be seen by the lack of scary stories in national media about how many grocery store employees are sick and dying.
The virus is not spreading from people walking outdoors, or going to beaches, or even from the people who stood on the streets watching the jet flyover.
The Virus in fact will not spread much in the outdoors, according to several studies.
So, where is it spreading? In Virginia: Number 1, nursing homes, number 2, medical centers, number 3, apartment buildings.
I’m guessing New York is seeing the same thing — a bunch of people trapped constantly in apartment buildings is apparently a breeding ground. I bet people are going down to get mail, touching buttons on elevators, touching handrails, and I bet the air is pretty common, people don’t all have separate ventilation systems exchanging outdoor air.
The part of our response that locked families together in close quarters in apartment buildings is not only unnecessary, it is likely spreading the disease faster than if we had told people to get out and about.
It comes up thru the commode.
I was thinking the folks going out are getting micro-exposures and are building defenses, when those that are staying in have virgin immune systems and need a smaller viral load to go over the edge.
Good post.
“Its carried by roaches.”
What does Biden have to say about that?
I believe you’re exactly right. I spent the first few years of my life in a third world country. I played on the street with all the neighborhood kids. I have a very strong gut and rarely get sick. In my world travels I’ve generally eaten whatever I wanted to, while being careful with water. I seldom get sick.
And Fredo the elder, wearing his golf shoes, steps on his willie again.
Fredo tell the truth, you do this because it feels good when you stop, right?
What does Biden have to say about that?.....He knows about roaches.
Interesting you mention that analogy. I've been repeating that epidemiology is not an exact science while rocket science is. Epidemiologists make their best guess every year for flu vaccines. No, I won''t give them a break because a virus can mutate, where engineering propulsion is set in proven physics.
I give the epidemiologists kudos for curing polio, but still can't come up with a vaccine or rid the body of HIV.
I assume you meant unnecessary. 8>)
sunshine kills the bug...
What a bunch of maroons!
“literally thousands of apartment dwellers sharing the same circulated air.”
I was about to point that out about NYC. The same thing happen Wuhan, they were lock into their apartments. That is why Wuhan was in lock down longer then the rest of China.
In Wuhan at one point, they were speculating the virus particles were being transmitted via the sewer pipes up through the drains in the high rise apartment buildings.
To go along with this...Cuomo JUST ordered buses, subways to be cleaned daily. I’m betting there’s a stat that just came out saying that 75% of ill folks took public transportation. Kinda like a duh...
