One defiant NYC business owner whos been deemed non-essential during the pandemic has a message to New York: Im opening my doors come hell or high water.
Eliot Rabin, whose Upper East Side boutique, Peter Elliot, is known for high-end mens and boys apparel, refuses to follow a state order closing retail business not considered essential. He insists that his $85 pocket squares and $15,000 suits are part of the fabric of New York City: Why is a liquor store essential and Im not? Rabin told The Post.
He admitted that many of the customers who can afford his wares have fled the city for vacation homes, but hes here to provide emotional essential support for the ones still in town. The retailer is also offering them what he jokingly calls internal vaccinations: Chivas Regal, Kentucky bourbon have a nip and youll feel better.

Lack of judgement.
Lack of decency.
Lack of class.
Heresy.

If the contact tracers get this guy, I hope he has to wear nice comfy orange trousers for the rest of his life.
Put some bottled water on the counter. You are now selling an essential item. Open your doors for business.
Why is a liquor store essential and Im not? Rabin told The Post.
In a nutshell
I for one am glad it changed. I dislike in general when fashion is elevated over practicality.
I love it!.....First two small business owners I’ve read about defying these lockdowns are a Christian woman from Texas with the last name Luther, and a Jewish guy from New York with the last name Rabin, which is derived from the word Rabbi...Maybe God is trying to tell us something?
Thank you for your literal, and non-humorous, interpretation of what was obviously intended to be a humorously sarcastic post.. intended to make a point.
I recently watched the 1968 Tigers v. Cardinals World Series.
Men in the stands wore white shirts and ties. The women wore dresses and long sleeve gloves.
It is called pride in oneself and country.

Yes officer, I see this douchebag who is not wearing a mask or social distancing...he's on TV every day.
Liquor stores sedate the masses (Soviets knew this) and raise tax revenue.
