Washington Governor Jay Inslees draconian executive orders mandating business closures and stay-at-home status for all residents has been rejected by county commissioners in Franklin County. The motion passed unanimously. Now, the legal battles may or may not begin but in the immediate future, the county is official reopened for business.
I move that Franklin County end recognition of the governors stay at home emergency proclamation that is now deemed unconstitutional. We support the reopening for all builders and small businesses that want to work, Commissioner Clint Didier said during a meeting Tuesday morning.

I was born in Richland and am still in Richland.
Within the next week or two there will be a flood of rule counties telling the city states to go @#%& themselves.

I haven’t checked for a few days, but as recently as three or four days ago, 16 or 17 counties in Washington hadn’t had a single CV death, and 6 or 7 other counties had had fewer than 5. 90% of the deaths have been in the Tacoma-Seattle-Everett corridor.

I am sitting at my desk in Benton County immediately to the south of Franklin County and home to two or the three large towns that make up the Tri-Cities area. We are number 4 on the list of cities after Seattle, Tacoma and Spokane. Don’t be surprised if the Benton County Commission is next to reject Inslee’s edicts. We’re done with this stuff.
I wish you people out there luck
You may be leading the way.
