Here is how to get past that memo. I wait to order for Sunday pickup at 12;05 AM on Friday night Saturday morning. So before I went to bed last night (Friday night) I waited until 12:05 and went online and placed my order for the slot I chose on Sunday.

"How do you get groceries from your vehicle into the house?"

I live in an apartment complex, and have a parking spot out front of the building. If I buy more than I can carry in one load, I leave the non-perishables in the car for a day or two, and bring them up on my next trip anywhere. I can usually put two six-packs of soda in a canvas bag, sling it over my left shoulder, then have another canvas bag I put the perishable stuff in for my right arm. When I get inside the building, I put the bag on my right arm on the stairs, then drag it up a couple of steps at a time, until I reach my apartment, which is at the top of the third floor. It's a short set of stairs for each floor, so it's not a big deal.

I'm not interested in having anyone else pick my groceries out for me. I'm picky when it comes to the bacon I buy, and no clerk is going to look for the leanest bacon, or worry about a can being dented. I worked in NY State's prison system for 25 years. I don't trust anyone. It's a side-effect of the job.

"My WM (which does not have a drive-thru pharmacy) just sent me a notice that they will bring prescriptions out to your car or mail to your home for no added cost."

Thanks for the heads up... Will be checking with our local WM...

A few years ago I was using one cane. A few years later I was using two canes, which makes carrying anything a trick of grasp and double tote. I am now using a wheel chair to get around though I can still walk with two canes. I can carry things and do kitchen work from the chair. Family have gotten so used to me in the chair that it surprises them when I use the canes or stand to greet them. There are a few really good small electric chairs available. I have purchased several. I have one plugged in at the top of the second floor and one on the main floor. I built to get from garage floor to main floor. When you get an electric chair, get one with front wheel drive, not rear wheel drive. The turning is so much less involved.

Exactly. In Western Nevada this time of year standing around outside is generally not a good idea. In the next several days we have up to 12 inches of snow and winds to 45 MPH.

Folks - Use the Walmart Free Grocery Pickup option.

We placed a $100 order at Noon today and will pick it up outside the store tomorrow between 5-6pm.

No extra charge and they have items that are currently not available for home delivery. It's a good deal, and way better than standing in line.

If you want to see sheep, see the dopes
standing in line 5’ apart to shop in
Traitor Joe’s (Aldi affiliate)

The other day there was a drenching chilly
rain which I bet was more deleterious to
these lemmings than the Chinese Virus

Sounds like you live in my neck of the woods, 2 1/2 hour drive on twisty mountain roads to the nearest Walmart.
So throw in the weather (it’s snowing outside right now), it’s probably more like 4 hours to drive the 85 miles to a Walmart.
Spoke to the folks at the Feed Store last week, they will special order the dog’s food for me.

“ They won’t be hurt as they will cut their costs down to balance out their profit margin.”

They will be hurt immensely guaranteed. Just wait until they release earnings. There sales are going to fall dramatically as people are not going to stand in line waiting to get into wall mart in numbers enough to support stores of their size. They have already lost huge ground to Amazon and this is only going to greatly further the damage.

What’s it to you? If you want to come and carry my groceries up three flights of stairs for me, then please do! I’m 72 years old with physical disabilities, but at least I carry my own groceries up the stairs, at my own pace, and don’t expect anyone else to do it for me.

Just drove past my local walmart on the way to aldi. Walmart had 20 people standing outside in line with the parking lot maybe 1/3 full. Insanity. Local grocer (no line) had most everything except TP. Aldi (no line) was out of most meat. Walmart is going to feel the pain from this nonsense.

I’m not your pops. I’m a real, live woman, who doesn’t take well to busy bodies who have nothing but time on their hands to question stupid stuff that is really none of their business. If you’re that bored, get yourself a blow up doll.

Doesn't seem like you're much likely to come down to the parking lot and knock anyone out though.

If you’re that bored, get yourself a blow up doll.

People are all different.

What works for YOU might not work for others.
