“They have already lost huge ground to Amazon and this is only going to greatly further the damage.”

There has also been an increase in businesses like Grubhub. But the question as to whether they will get hammered on non-food items is based upon the amount sold. And
Walmart is notorious for scheduling only the people they want to handle the intake. They won’t get hurt too much in lost sales as they will cut costs. I’ve seen them do it.

And another thing they will do is send out their comparison shoppers to buy related items they can sell so they will be the only game in town that may have any quantity of it. In 1995. there was a big freeze in Tacoma, and their shoppers were sent out to purchase every cylinder of gas they could find. They drained every major competition in town and sold a huge amount of gas stoves, lanterns, and everything that required gas marking it up to cover the profit margin from the retail purchase. But they had them.

According to their website, They have already doubled their net profit from 2019.

Walmart annual net income for 2020 was $14.881B, a 123.1% increase from 2019.
Walmart annual net income for 2019 was $6.67B, a 32.37% decline from 2018.

They play monopoly with real money.

This absolute overkill, the foot traffic will go down and when they see the numbers they will rethink this.

"Doesn't seem like you're much likely to come down to the parking lot and knock anyone out though."

Don't count on that. I was an officer and Sergeant in the New York State prison system for 25 years, and had to knock a few male convict's heads together during that time. I only worked in men's prisons. Plus I raised two sons on my own, so I'm used to dealing with men of all kinds.

Seriously though...stay well and out of trouble.

It’s 55 degrees here today in Rome, New York. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be the same, except with rain.

They’re not paying any attention to this kind of thing. I went to the bank the other day for change. They have a door gal letting 5 people at a time in. I got my change and went to the door. It was locked. No door gal to be seen. I said....help I’m being held hostage in a bank. Teller came running and said only the door gal has a key. Finally the door gal came running out from the bathroom. I said you know this is illegal. I got a shrug.

I was using their stated math from the sight then swagged in those for Tenn - numbers are right - but the decimal place sure looks like even 25 deaths per mil is a way over statement to say the least...wow!
