When my children were an older baby and toddlers they used to get colds and ear infections and would wake up crying at night. I would fill a baby bottle with water, 500 mg. of crushed Vitamin C tablet, a tablespoon of honey (don’t give this to young babies), and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder. Shake well. The would wake up and suck on the bottle and go back to sleep. I would gargle and drink this and it would really help the dry throat and choking cough it caused.

She’s a big Animal Advocate, too. Thanks for the tip. I didn’t know she went on to do travel shows. Fun!

Did you see the day Trump visited the NIH and was amazed how polite the press was there (different press pool) - Dr. Fauci or somebody said, “Well, it’s the NIH,” meaning the WH hyenas were not covering it.

This has probably already been thought of by smarter people than me, but I thought I would offer this up in case the President is reading this:
The problem I see with this virus is the pneumonia that it causes. In my opinion, the President should immediately authorize the large-scale manufacture of ventilator units and begin installing them into any available empty buildings in the areas of the outbreaks. Have ventilator-trained technicians teach large groups of people (preferably young adults less affected by the virus) to operate and oversee these machines and open them up to virus patients. Perhaps young relatives of the patients can be given basic classes on how to care for their loved-ones, while being helped and overseen by a small number of trained personnel. This could be a massive operation and could get thousands of new “ICU’s” into the areas of need quickly. If an oxygen supply could be the difference between life and death for the vulnerable, wouldn’t it be worth the effort?
Thank you.

Yeah - and what I've learned during this whole situation is that many of you just aren't really smart. Many of you really aren't that bright. You have our president declaring a national emergency - talking highly about the people on his team - thanking the NBA and others for shutting stuff down - and you all think it's still a plot to take him down.

Well - if it is a plot - he is orchestrating it.

Yeah - this has really opened my eyes to the FACT that there are actually many many stupid people on the right...and this site is full of them...and you are one.

Castor oil, oh how I hated that stuff.

Had to hold my nose and try not to throw up.

I think they gave it to us so we would be afraid to get sick, so nasty.

Yeah, I was sorry not to hear that they have done that—which presumably means they haven’t. Good that they can tap various guv supplies, of course, but I have no idea how much that is. Their answer to whether they have enough seemed to be that it all depends on how much they can flatten the curve.Still if there is nearly as much infection as, for example, Ohio’s health director thinks, one would expect more people in a serious situation than we have. My thinking and hope is that what is circulating most is a strain that has morphed to be less virulent.

Also, I believe one of the CEOs he had there is one of the two US-based suppliers of ventilators—but it at least sounded like they were only ramping up production of other equipment.

Also, Jack Ma now wants to donate masks, etc.—and I’m not proud, I’d take them if we need them—but what’s with those weeks of reports we had of US hospitals packing up and sending masks to China? Who thought that was a good idea, given that they have a chokehold on our main supply chain for those as well?

Why aren’t the fake newsers who have been around Trump not self isolating?

Cancel, or suspend, any interviews, press conferences, etc. for the White House and all Congresscritters for one month. Let the stenographers, err, reporters interview each other.

The actual cause of virus related deaths has not been reported and is in fact being concealed.

Early on it was reported that pneumonia was the actual cause of hina virus related deaths. Winter pneumonia in American hospitals is in fact near epidemic but is not reported.

Daily pneumonia deaths likely exceeds the total virus reported deaths

It doesn’t matter however, America has decided the country virus must hysterically succumb to the irrational Democrat media propaganda.

That’s a pretty hefty rate compared to the rest of the country. God bless you, and the other Freepers who live out there. I live in NY, and it’s bad enough here, but I live in a small city in central New York, which is pretty conservative. I thank my lucky stars that I live here, after having grown up in Rochester, New York. It was nice growing up there in the 50’s, but you’d be taking your life into your own hands if you were living there now.

Those are good ideas. A reporter did ask a question about icu's today and one of the reporters said that they have plans in place. President Trump said they are ramping up production of respirators and stuff just in case they're needed.

If you go to this link: Joanna Lumley

and go down to the "Self" section under her filmography list, and click on it, there's a list of her travel shows...ie., India, Japan, Silk Road, Trans-Siberian Adventure, etc.

Before my mom passed she had told me there were two things in her life that she feared-the early 1950’s polio epidemic and then the Cuban Missile Crisis.

She said people that could afford it were installing fallout shelters or stocking basements. They regularly practiced drills at school and the evening news was frightful. Imagine the crisis today with the overlay of our current social media and 24/7 news cycle.

When Kennedy announced the naval blockade she asked my granddad, whom was hard working independent hardware store owner, if they were going to get bombed. He reassured her they wouldn’t but was trying to not get emotional. That had to be scary as hell period. By all accounts we were a miscalculation away from getting into a shooting war with the Soviets.

Ouch! Yes, it’s around $3.39 at most stations, but Costco is the cheapest in my area.

I wasn’t around for the Cuban missile crisis, but I think the panic and anxiety levels are right up there with it.

I was in the 9th grade. There was no hoarding of T.Paper in our area—nor was there any reports of it nation wide. News reports were less sensational then.

Besides, after a nuclear strike, you can go out of the bunker for extra supplies—for brief periods. Also not only did USA make their own T.P. we also had a stack of Sears catalogs in the closet as backup.

All the prepper articles I ever read said that T.P. is one of the first items to disappear—also listed as a top barter item for SHTF. We always have several months worth in our pantry. Generally, we restock once a month. Which we did a couple of weeks early —good thing—LOL
