This has probably already been thought of by smarter people than me, but I thought I would offer this up in case the President is reading this:
The problem I see with this virus is the pneumonia that it causes. In my opinion, the President should immediately authorize the large-scale manufacture of ventilator units and begin installing them into any available empty buildings in the areas of the outbreaks. Have ventilator-trained technicians teach large groups of people (preferably young adults less affected by the virus) to operate and oversee these machines and open them up to virus patients. Perhaps young relatives of the patients can be given basic classes on how to care for their loved-ones, while being helped and overseen by a small number of trained personnel. This could be a massive operation and could get thousands of new “ICU’s” into the areas of need quickly. If an oxygen supply could be the difference between life and death for the vulnerable, wouldn’t it be worth the effort?
Thank you.

Yeah, I was sorry not to hear that they have done that—which presumably means they haven’t. Good that they can tap various guv supplies, of course, but I have no idea how much that is. Their answer to whether they have enough seemed to be that it all depends on how much they can flatten the curve.Still if there is nearly as much infection as, for example, Ohio’s health director thinks, one would expect more people in a serious situation than we have. My thinking and hope is that what is circulating most is a strain that has morphed to be less virulent.

Also, I believe one of the CEOs he had there is one of the two US-based suppliers of ventilators—but it at least sounded like they were only ramping up production of other equipment.

Also, Jack Ma now wants to donate masks, etc.—and I’m not proud, I’d take them if we need them—but what’s with those weeks of reports we had of US hospitals packing up and sending masks to China? Who thought that was a good idea, given that they have a chokehold on our main supply chain for those as well?

The actual cause of virus related deaths has not been reported and is in fact being concealed.

Early on it was reported that pneumonia was the actual cause of hina virus related deaths. Winter pneumonia in American hospitals is in fact near epidemic but is not reported.

Daily pneumonia deaths likely exceeds the total virus reported deaths

It doesn’t matter however, America has decided the country virus must hysterically succumb to the irrational Democrat media propaganda.

Those are good ideas. A reporter did ask a question about icu's today and one of the reporters said that they have plans in place. President Trump said they are ramping up production of respirators and stuff just in case they're needed.
