Residents of a Washington county where 44 people have tested positive for coronavirus and nine people have died are being advised to work from home and schools are shutting down to avoid possible exposure to the killer strain.
Eleven people in the U.S. have died from coronavirus, and 164 people have tested positive nationwide. Washington state has been at the epicenter of the outbreak, with 44 cases and 10 deaths.

The New Jersey patient reportedly had some type of contact with one of the 11 cases that have been confirmed in New York.
He was unaware he had coronavirus and may have spread it to others in New Jersey unwittingly, according to NBC New York.
The state’s Department of Health are tracing individuals who may have had close contact with the man, officials said.
Another two people have tested positive for coronavirus in New York City, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 13.
Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed the new cases on Thursday.
Neither is related to the other two people in the city who have been diagnosed, or to the nine others in Westchester who have the disease.
Both of the new cases are in the ICU.
One of them is a woman in her 80s, and the other is a man in his forties. No other information was given.
At this point I’m ready to willingly expose myself to COVID, isolate myself in a remote location and game on.
