The Department of Justice (DOJ) will no longer pursue criminal charges against former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, closing a high-profile case against the former official whose conduct during the 2016 election came under intense scrutiny.
"We write to inform you that, after careful consideration, the Government has decided not to pursue criminal charges against your client, Andrew G. McCabe, arising from the referral by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) to our Office of conduct,” wrote two officials from the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s Office. "Based on the totality of the circumstances and all of the information known to the Government at this time, we consider the matter closed."
Lawyers for McCabe — Michael Bromwich and David Schertler — celebrated the news, saying that McCabe and his family "can go on with their lives without this cloud hanging over them.”

I believe if there was anything to this, Trump would be burning up the tweet wires. I’m sure that the president knows what the real story is. If he ain’t bothered, I’m not bothered.
I just hope that some of us aren’t falling for fake news.
It’s a pipe dream to think anyone will be held accountable. And prosecuted.

What’s interesting about this story — as another Freeper pointed out earlier this afternoon — is that McCabe’s criminal conduct actually related to his media leaks that screwed Hillary in 2016, not Trump.

There’s more to this, surely....IIRC, leaking was not the only McCabe accusation. He’s tied to false FISA apps, correct ?
I refuse to believe Barr will allow the DOJ to destroy it’s reputation and creditability. I believe he sees himself as a key player in re-estabishing justice in this country. Nor can I imagine allowing DJT Barr to let these slimes get away.
If there’s one thing we know of the top gun, it’s he’ll get every ounce of legal revenge. If Barr stands in the way of same, he’d be replaced.
If this results in the same ‘ol, same ‘ol dual justice, I will be severely disappointed and ready to move to the next phase of dissent, but I’m not there yet.
If he worked for the 2016 Trump election campaign he sure would be charged for that.
