CONCORD, NH Secretary of State Bill Gardner revised down turnout results last week suggesting slightly more than 400,000 Granite Staters might go to the polls to vote in the 2020 New Hampshire first-in-the-nation presidential primary and some early returns show the revision might be correct. Results from communities where polls closed at 7 p.m. are showing higher returns when compared to the 2012 primary, the last contest where an incumbent was on the ballot, but short of the 2016 primary numbers one of the highest turnouts in state history for a presidential primary. Gardner also predicted the 2020 primary would be the highest turnout in the history of the primary with an incumbent on the ballot.
Most of the state's politerati are predicting a sold victory for neighboring U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT, who clobbered former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton decisively in the primary four years ago. South Bend Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who began surging in polls in New Hampshire before eking out what appears to be a win in the Iowa Caucus, is expected to place second. U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar was also surging in the polls after strong debate performances.
Two Democrats who were early frontrunners in the state, Vice President Joe Biden, and U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, downplayed expectations and results early Tuesday, as they watched their polling numbers nosedive after Iowa.
On the Republican side, the Associated Press declared President Donald Trump the winner after the polls closed.
Biden, who was supposed to hold an election night event in Nashua with his wife, Jill, canceled plans to attend the event and instead, booked an early flight to South Carolina to begin campaigning there in what is consider his post-New Hampshire campaign collapse firewall.
Warren's campaign manager, Roger Lau, sent out a lengthy memo to the media at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday outlining the state of the campaign, what they learned from Iowa, and while highlighting the thousands of people working hard to win in New Hampshire, focused instead on the races ahead.
"Warren is poised to finish in the top two in over half of Super Tuesday states (eight of 14), in the top three in all of them, and is on pace to pick up at-large statewide delegates in all but one," the memo stated, while also highlighting some of her opponents weaknesses.
Sanders won Concord by nearly 1,000 votes while Klobuchar came in second. Buttigieg place third. President Donald Trump easily won the capital city.
Andrew Yang will also end his campaign tonight, according to Yang's campaign manager. In an email, according to a post on Twitter, "there's a lot of disappointment because when you're goal oriented and you're a builder, it's very hard to pat yourself on the back and say, 'Job well done,' if you didn't win."
If results continuing the way they are going, Warren and Biden will fail to get to the 15 percent vote threshold meaning Sanders, Buttigieg, and Klobuchar will split the 24 delegates in New Hampshire.

Warren is getting scalped.
In her own damn backyard, even!!
Give her campaign a proper native burial.
The efforts by the Dems to take out Bernie will come harder now. I expect Klobuchar will emulate the McCain strategy, muddling up the middle to be the last man standing, while every new front runner comes under withering scrutiny.
Looks like Tulsi is out too, shame. She was going to take out Pete just like she did to Kamala.
No, a "sold" victory is Bloomberg's methodology.
Klobuchar is more of a general election threat than anyone else.. but cant see here surviving
+1

They say Bootyjudge is the ‘underdog’ .
He’s the under dog alright ; he assumes the ‘under’position while being done doggie style by another man. Sickening
Still don't see any contenders that will beat Trump.
No need elections. President Trump for life ;^)
I wonder if Biden can count to 5 to see where he ended up.
Klobuchar will be the Democrat Party’s nominee.
