Animal rights organization PETA is under fire after claiming the group's Colin Kaepernick-inspired Super Bowl advertisement was rejected by FOX and the NFL because the message was "too daring."

"Speciesism—like any form of discrimination—is a supremacist worldview," PETA wrote in a news release explaining the situation. "It allows humans to disrespect other living, feeling beings and to treat their interests as unimportant."

I don't think my cat considers herself to be my slave. I think she looks on me as her slave. After all, I feed her, pet her, and clean her litter box. All she ever had to do is sleep whenever she wants, and summon me at feeding time. Despite all that, of course, I'm really fond of her.
