Just after President Trumps defense lawyers ended arguments in their Senate trial Tuesday, Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California became the first Democrat to suggest that she could vote to acquit him, despite serious concerns about his character.
Nine months left to go, the people should judge. We are a republic, we are based on the will of the people the people should judge, Feinstein said Tuesday, after the presidents team finished a three-day presentation in his defense. That was my view and it still is my view.
Still, she indicated that arguments in the trial about Trumps character and fitness for office had left her undecided. What changed my opinion as this went on, she said, is a realization that impeachment isnt about one offense. Its really about the character and ability and physical and mental fitness of the individual to serve the people, not themselves.
Asked whether she would ultimately vote to acquit, she demurred, saying, Were not finished.

SOMEBODY here said ONE dem would take this route to stand apart from the crowd the other day.
I said NO WAY.
I’m so politically non astute :)
Love to see it.
Though she might have to call China for final approval.

No it’s not.
no, it's not
Don’t believe anything this evil snake says.
If she votes to acquit I will eat my shoe..she wont do it..the commies have all the dirt on her, involving her connections with the Chinese, she will do what they tell her to do
Doesn’t sound like she’s leaning that way at all to me. She’s just trying to appear “impartial”.
She was a good Mayor.
But you're so perfectly astoop in so many other matters, no one cares.
Aww! There goes my spell-check again!!
Acquit.
Get it over with.
So the idiot morons in the House can come up with an even dumber reason to impeach again!
IF the GOP does the right thing and ends this Thursday I expect 2-3 rat defections but that is a big if. In that case some of them, sensing a lost cause, might bail and vote to acquit or abstain.
I looked it up. That’s a real word!
And I usually am in that position :)
Well more reclined than inclined :)

She has no clue what the framers intended or what the constitution states. She still thinks she should vote to remove if she doesn't approve of things like ones character or physical fitness? Bonehead.
The private polls must be terrible for the democrats and she is looking for a way out.
