BREAKING: Ukrainian passenger plane carrying 180 people crashes near Tehran - local media
Yup. Gotta be an accident. At least it wasn’t intentionally shot down to make it look like the U.S. did anything nefarious.
That airliner hit by a Russian missile over Ukraine came down in little pieces. This one looks nothing like that situation.
Or one helluva a coincidence. Stranger things have happened.
.... Somebody mistook the craft as an incoming OPFOR war plane ....
Just because that plane broke up doesn’t mean this one did. The anti-aircraft missiles detonate near the plane. They don’t hit them directly.
Al owes you too?
I thought about that also. Great minds Etc.
Missile hit doesnt have to disintegrate the aircraft. All it has to to is hit something vital for control or lift. Not hard to do. Most every structural component, surface, or system on a plane is critical for flight, otherwise it wouldnt be there.
It appeared to be throwing sparks, and probably caught someone’s eye.
People can deploy those smartphones fast these days...

True dat. Of course, the plane being hit by a shoulder fired MANPAD would catch the eye also.
3.6 yr old air frame.
This was a shoot down.

That one was at 35,000 ft @ 500 mph. This one was at 8.000 feet @ 275 mph.... and the “little pieces” of the Malaysian 777 didn’t happen until it augerer into the ground and exploded.
There is appears to be a military base with helicopter landing pads about 1 mile north of the last transmission.
Pprune.com is a good site for aircraft talk, including crashes.
Too weird to comment on. I believe the plane took off from Teheran airport.
There’s flight data this early? Even from ground radar in Teheran?
I think that I noticed the plane sort of flared up in brightness a few seconds before the impact explosion.
Not only that, they already declared tech difficulties without doing an investigation.
Yeah sure. It comes from transponders on the plane and Flight Aware’s ground stations and software (Automatic dependent surveillancebroadcast (ADSB).) It’s a commerical package or one of their competitors.
** Al Hadath stating that the Ukrainian aircraft was shot down accidentally by Iranian air defense systems. **
This is possible, but since the news source is Jordanian, I will not be repeating it as true.
180 passengers shot down? 56 mourners crushed to death at Soleimani’s funeral, + Soleimani and an intentionally ineffective missile attack on US troops. Damn. It’s like Keystone Cops. One helluva a “retaliation.” I might even suggest they lighten up on the retaliation to their own benefit..
Trump has given Iran their biggest bloody nose in some time. They are not taking it well.
On Flight radar 24, there is real time fright data on pretty much every commercial flight everywhere.
There are obvious “shooting ranges” in the desert just north of the last transmission, like it is a military training base.
It was still climbing past the power plant, but was hit when it appears it was “coming over the hill” towards the military base.
