A Texas resident grabbed his shotgun and shot and killed three men when they allegedly broke into his home, authorities said.
Early Monday morning, one of the two residents of a trailer home in Channelview -- about 20 miles east of Houston -- heard a "commotion" outside, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. He then saw several men in dark clothing -- possibly one armed -- force their way inside, the sheriff said at a news conference.
That resident ran to hide, while his roommate, armed with a shotgun, exchanged gunfire with the suspects, Gonzalez said.
The armed resident shot and killed three suspected home invaders, Gonzalez said.

The home owner tells his side of the story and...
Well, them other guys ain’t saying much.
From several reports I understand the homeowner is in serious to critical condition. Too bad, it was almost a clean sweep.
This reminds me to oil my Remington.
I'm retired LE and pretty much every home invasion I had first hand knowledge of was criminal on criminal.
There are millions of trailer homes down here in the South.
Some of them are very nice. Some aren’t but it is what they can afford. Some are homes to people who don’t have much, and no, they’re not all on opioids or meth.
Many of them work in manufacturing, fixing cars, carpentry, all kids of yeoman jobs. These folks would rather work 2 or 3 jobs than take assistance.
It seems like stereotypes of poor White Southerners are what y’all are doing.
There can be anynumber of reasons, and unless its saving someone, they are all in the negative column.
I think your assumption might be incorect. People who are not criminals get their homes invaded, meth people break in, crooks looking for revenge get the wrong place, all the time.
Regardless my initial statement is 1000% accurate.
*sniff* *sniff*
I always cry at happy endings.
The suspects backed their car toward the home and left the
engine running as if they planned a fast getaway, but their
exact intent was unknown, Gonzalez said.
There may be a fourth suspect who fled the scene, he said.
Think of all the money the lawyers down at the courthouse are loosing.
My 12ga with the plug out holds 5. Narrow area 30, #4 buck, Id take my chances. Oh and I dont rack it to let anybody know Im serious. First thing you hear is the last thing you hear.
Well it is Channelview so there is that.
Forget it jake, it’s Channelview.
Awesome.
...and no taxpayer money spent on lengthy trials.
In defense of people living in a trailer. I live in a trailer, don’t use or sell drugs, but I do have four rental properties and usually have cash on hand around the 1st of the month, I have a 3 dog alarm system.
I did not know that.
Thanks for informing me on the subject.
I have never seen one, I don’t think.
They actually look pretty big.
I once had to take the 12 gauge out and interrupt some car clouters Being quiet while I racked the first round was a challenge.
Haven’t messed with #4 buck. OO at 60 yard will go through a deer’s lungs and lodge against the hide. Either one, inside 30’ should do the trick.
From what Ive heard from my nephew they alternate 00 and slugs in Alaska for bear issues flying in the back country. I figure #4/#3 buck, first two rounds then 00 for the distance issues of course this is for two legged animals.
Buckshot is a big no-no on bears. Their fur really impedes penetration.
