Comedy Central host Roy Wood Jr. sat down with a panel of African-American voters to get their take on what black voters want in a presidential candidate, and their responses seemed to surprise him.
The similarity among the six African-American voters he sat down with in Atlanta last week is that they voted for President Obama in 2012, with the exception of one who was too young at the time.
“Which candidate do you think best understands the needs of the black voter?” he asked.
One voter said Sen. Elizabeth Warren and two said Sen. Bernie Sanders, before the host got to “Chris” who said Donald Trump.
After laughter and one co-panelist saying “huh?”, Wood Jr. asked him to explain.
"Some of the stuff I've heard he's already doing, like prison reform," he replied. "He’s been hanging around black people as long as I can remember. They loved him until he ran for president as a Republican. Trump was the man.”
Others disagreed, but then later in the segment after discussing the other candidates, Wood Jr. asked how many still thought Trump will win in 2020. Four out of the six raised their hands.
“Do you honestly think any of these Democratic candidates can beat Trump?” he followed up.
One respondent said perhaps if Democrats rallied around one candidate that person could beat the president.
“So, we all need to agree on who that one candidate is and then all the other candidates support them. Tell me who’s that candidate,” he said.
Everyone rattled off a different name, much to Wood Jr’s disappointment. Then Chris stepped in and said, “Trump 2020, baby!”

The host then walked off the set.
"And there's a lesson for Democrats," he said. "You can't win the black vote by pandering because black people are as complex as any other voter base. If you want our trust, make promises you can keep, walk it like you talk it, and above all, keep the faith."
He then said a "prayer" that Chris's truck wouldn't start on Election Day so he wouldn't be able to case his vote for Trump.

That is what the democrat campaign slogan was. Believe it.
If I were a Jewish person, I couldnt vote ofr any democrat since they are the New National Socialist Democrat party of America. And like the old German National Socialist party, this “New” socialist party intends on the same as the old.
Yet both of these ethnic groups vote for Democrats en mass. Why? Because of the love of money and “free” things.
Yes. There is a reason the Left won’t allow that history to be taught or even discussed anywhere, school, media, nowhere.
Too many have swallowed their like that the Republicans and right are racists, and we can’t risk disabusing those people who believe it of THAT.

President Trump, as many have noticed, has framed his presidency as one which avoids that labeling, although the Progressive enemies of freedom have attempted to do just that--think of Hillary's "irredeemables" and "deplorables" description of her fellow citizens who chose to disagree with her chosen set of ideas for leading America into the future in 2016.

This man got it perfect. No one Trump thought was a racist until he won the election as a Republican. No one. Its all propaganda, another example of how its actually the left dividing American not the right.
He’s polling over 30% in a couple of the big ones, Rasmussen and... can’t think of other off the top of my head. You only need to skim about 10% for a sure thing.
There was a video many years ago, now ‘disappeared’, of a black US Congresswoman, I forget what her name was, giving a speech on the House floor, where she referred to South African blacks as ‘African-American Africans’..........She stumbled and him-hawed over the word but She just could not bring herself to use the word ‘blacks’......
Thank you Windflier, and Candor7, I mean no disrespect, it’s just that a forum like this is looked at by the left, not in an effort to learn something, but to selectively pick posts that they use to tell the world how we are all racists.
It’s always best to not provide them the ammunition they will use to shoot at us.
Again, not trying to start an argument as you and I probably have so much in common, just an observation made as a friend.

The black folk of America will vote for the Donald simply because he has done well by them economically. And that was the white elephant in the Town Hall meeting, or in this case, maybe a black elephant that no one was talking about: the positive economic development PDJT has brought about for Black folks through the lowest unemployment figures in history. All the kool jive in the world can’t obfuscate or deny that fact, yet no one said it. Thus my response, which I do not regret at all.
