For a company that usually has a good eye for futuristic aesthetic design, this is one ugly looking machine.

But it’s exactly the right kind of ugly. It’s great.
(I keep telling my wife I’m gonna buy a vehicle so ugly & hard to drive she won’t use it. This at least gets half of that right, and the self-driving might sufficiently scare her off. And she agreed I can get one (sight unseen) if it can pull an RV trailer of her choice.)

Does it come with crowd suppressing green puke lasers or an LRAD sound cannon?

No manual door handles, same kind of fire prone batteries, death trap.

I would prefer the attractive truck option.
In appearance alone, this looks both ugly and cheap. Kinda like a B or C movie futuristic vehicle.

This is the kind of vehicle design that I doodled (with the help of a ruler!) in 7th grade.

Yup, it’s ugly.
It’s love it or hate it.
And it’s gonna sell like crazy despite the haters.

500 miles, downhill with a tailwind.
50 miles otherwise, if carrying a load

It has door handles, they are just kindigit design that are flush to the door.
To: Anti-Bubba182
well if the doors stay aligned and the paint job lasts longer than an Earl Shibe $100 special it will be a step up for Tesla
To: ctdonath2
The question is whether the features make up for the looks.
A lot of people on the Tesla forum hate it based on looks alone.

It’s already getting a lot of free publicity.
The “bullet proof” windows shattered easily during the demo.
Interestingly, Tesla had replacement windows on hand to be installed before they gave test drives. I wonder if it was a stunt.
