Survivor: Island of the Idols was rocked by scandal on Wednesday, when two contestants admitted they exaggerated a complaint of inappropriate touching in order to win the game.
With the support of the other women, Kellee brought her complaints to producers, who mediated the situation off-camera with all the shows cast. However, once Kellee was out of earshot, Missy and Elizabeth admitted to each other that they exaggerated their reactions to Dans behavior in order to better position him for elimination.
According to People, Elizabeth even brazenly admitted that she didnt feel uncomfortable but said if she can play up that card in whatever way possible, Ill do it.
She added: Honestly, Ive felt safe this entire time and if I had felt uncomfortable I would have said, Please stop.'
Dan, a Hollywood agent, was given the chance to apologize for his actions during the Tribal Council.
I couldnt be more sorry...I have a wife, I have been married for 21 years, I have two boys, I have a big business, I have lots of employees.

by the way sorry for asking so many questions but i’m curious for a non-media non-twitter mass perspective and don’t have time to watch the episode
Amen !
much too complicated to explain
Janet was willing to give up her game. She did give up her game. The women turned on her. She used a found idol to save herself but she didnt need it.
She is still in the game.
My opinion is the asian chick didn’t like all the touchy feely stuff. I can relate. I don’t like it either
But she then used it to solidify relationships..exploitation..in order to try to blindside one of the other girls who was faking she had a problem with it
Much too complicated to really get into.
It wasn’t SEXUAL harassment, though, imo. But Dan does touch the women ALOT...but so have others before him. It’s just he looks like a creepy thin weinstein and is in the business.
survivor is notorious for winning edits.
it’s a game to try to figure out who wins by the edit.
one more thing..Janet was so distraught in the tribal counsel that she was willing to quit. she didn’t though.
And twitter is really really nailing those involved..including the ass who said Janet was just acting like a victim
Kellee Kim:
There is no doubt he was touchy feely
But it is not the kind of I am grabbing your boobs type of deal.
For example, Kellee got pissed when Dan touched her hair to see if she had sand it it after she complained how dirty it was.
I do. Trying to win is okay. Trying to win by destroying someones life and reputation is not right.
#MeToo
I think the problem is what they were using as strategy.
If they had said they didn’t like the way Dan smelled or farted or any of the other reasons that go on in Survivor it would be one thing
But when you bring up Sexual harassment that can destroy a career and life it then becomes something else
I firmly believe Asian chick didn’t like being touched. I also firmly believe she exploited it and exaggerated it in multiple ways as strategy. She was pretty hard core..but in the end....she went home with TWO unplayed idols because she got played
It happens on the other reality show Big Brother. When Omarosa was on it she tried to use race multiple times claiming certain people were racist, etc.
I don't see what the scandal is, the whole series is based on who can lie, cheat, steal and con the best..
I applaud the lying contestants, they just figured out another way to win the game that nobody else ever thought about.........
Personally, I would rather the program take it to the highest level and really make it a game of survival. Kinda like Lord of the Flies or the Hunger Games.............with only one real survivor leaving the island alive.
This happens in the work place too.
Eliminate impediments to promotion.
One of the girls involved is black and an Air Force Veteran. Of course, twitter claiming everyone is racist for criticizing her.
this gives you an idea of her “wokeness”

This is why it was so difficult to stand up, because even when you do and there is video evidence, your words are still “claims” and “alleged”
The wording of this article is NOT okay and perpetuates the doubt in those who decides to speak up #survivor #survivor39

CBS and MGM provided THR with a joint statement about the latest #Survivor episode and the misconduct allegations surrounding a contestant: “A formal warning was also given to the male castaway in question.” Read full statement: http://thr.cm/DPjxc5
Agree.
You mean they push winners by how they edit the show? Is that correct?
i don’t understand “winning edits” or “winning by the edit” at at all, what are you talking about? I don’t watch the show so maybe i’m missing something basic
What is to be expected from any loser that participates on a show like this?
I mean that they do various things that signal who might win. It isn’t always obvious. Some people count the amount of confessionals to try to get an idea of the winner.
Australian Survivor does it too. I actually like their version better. Their challenges are insane and border on unsafe.
Say for example, Survivor Tommy as just as guilty last night but they made a big effort to shield him. Not saying he was as guilty. We don’t know. Not saying that means he is the winner. It’s just a hypothetical
You would just have to watch the show to understand.
I will give you an example of a warning edit:
When you see someone bragging over and over about running the show and being in control..you know they aren’t long for the game and about to get voted out.
